Join us as we pray over the kids and teachers over the next week or so. Make sure you grab an envelope with a specific school name in the foyer at church tomorrow!!

As summer starts winding down, let’s get ready to ramp up our prayers for Back to School! On Sunday, we laid out envelopes in the foyer for you to pick up. Each envelope contains a name of a school in our area. Hopefully you picked up one or two (or more) to pray over. Did you know there’s around 60 schools in the Hall County, White County, and Lumpkin County areas? If you didn’t get an envelope this last week, please pick up a few on Sunday. We will start our 10 days of prayer on Monday as a whole but feel free to start depending on what school(s) you have, lining it up with the 10 days before their first day. (Listed below will be their start dates based on district.)

We’ve created a “what to pray for” form to guide you each day. You can pray however, whenever, for whatever of course but these are some things to focus on and think about.

If you feel led to travel to your designated school and pray over them in the parking lot at any time over the next week or two, I encourage you to do so.

Also, add some prayers for our AWANAs kids as we head back to school and get things started again. Pray for souls to be saved, friends to be made, and the volunteers that we may be made into the hands and feet of Jesus.

Lastly, don’t stop praying when school starts. Tuck the names of these schools into your Bible and keep praying for them throughout the school year.

We are excited to see all of the kids and families at VBS this week. Please continue to be in prayer for the Lord to reveal Himself to those with us this week and that His blessings pour out on these families this week and beyond.

“God, be with all of us this week as we share your word. We pray that every lesson, craft, song, and activity points these children to the Gospel. We pray that those who do not know you yet, hear your call and accept the gift of salvation. We pray for those who do know you as their Savior, to grow closer in their faith. We pray for all of the volunteers, give us energy and patience in every interaction. We pray that we are pleasing to you and our actions align with your will. Bless MVBC this week, Lord. May your hand be upon us. For even if it’s just one Lord, it’s worth it all. We love you, we thank you Lord. We give you all the honor and praise. Amen.”

We had such a good time at our Agape Feast yesterday! As Acts 2 tells us, we (the church) should break bread together as a way to fellowship and to bring others to the Lord theough salvation. Hoping we get to break bread together often. 🤍

The cookbooks are beautiful! Please see Caitlin over the next few weeks to get your copy. Donations for the cookbook will feed back into our women’s ministry. These would make awesome Mother’s Day gifts, teacher gifts, birthday gifts, thank you gifts, or just a thinking of you gift!

Missed those of you who couldn’t make it. We already have some thoughts on the next events! If anyone has any suggestions of something you would like to see us do, feel free to reach out.
As soon as we come up with what’s next, we will post here, in the church app, and bulletin. Jacob has set us up a group for Woven in Grace to be able to send out communications. Make sure you join the group and pass the word to those not on Facebook!
