Work has started now that it is cold enough that the wasps are not stirring. The steps are removed, the broken concrete in the front is removed. Today we raked all the leaves from under the building and we have holes dug to pour concrete foundation pads tomorrow. If anyone would like to help tomorrow, we will start at 1 pm... bring wheel barrows and hoes for mixing cement.. Hopefully the weather will hold and we can get the building jacked up and work on replacing the rotted joists ..... then add a better cement block foundation under the joists... More work will be done as we raise the funds to do the work. Our plan is to build new wooden steps with a small shelter to cover the entryways and protect them from the elements ! Thanks to all who helped both last week and today.
