Daniel Rose:

Daniel was born May 16, 1781 in Prince William county Virginia. He married Susana Brown on Nov 8, 1808 and had 13 children.

According to the 1810 census, Daniel was farming in Haymarket Virginia and by the 1820 census was living in Fauquier Virginia still engaged in agriculture

Sadly, his wife Susana died on January 15, 1849 in Virginia at approximately 47 yrs old.

I am not sure as to when Daniel and his family made the move to Montpelier, but the 1950 census shows Daniel living in licking township with his children John, Mary, Susan, Catherine, Benjamin, Louisa and Eggleston and had continued in farming along with his son Benjamin.

On October 26, 1854 Daniel became a postmaster for Montpelier.

On November 19, 1869, Daniel died and is buried alongside his daughter Mary here in Woodlawn Cemetery.

His Epitaph reads:
I have faught a good fight
I have finished my course
I have kept the faith
