Seven years ago today our family nearly lost our son. I've spent years telling myself I had processed it and moved on.

I hadn't. I just got very good at moving.

Today I'm sharing something I've never put into words publicly — about trauma, what it's actually doing to my body, and why I finally stopped running long enough to listen.

This one is personal. And I think it might be for someone else too.

Seven Years Later, I'm Finally Listening

One year ago today, this ministry officially launched.

🤩 I’m still kind of in awe.

This past year has been filled with Bible studies, podcast episodes, writing, speaking, coffee shop meetings, prayer requests, and so many opportunities to watch God work.

I don’t take a second of it for granted.

The fact that I get to spend my days talking about Jesus, studying God’s Word, encouraging people, and creating resources that help others grow in their faith is something I never want to stop being amazed by.

Thank you to every person who has supported, encouraged, prayed, shared, listened, attended, took part in studies, and cheered me on this year. You have no idea how much it means.

What a privilege. What an honor. 🙌

Y'all, I took some time away recently to just be still — to mourn, to reflect, and to breathe. I needed it. But I will be honest, while I was still, God was not. He has been laying so much on my heart and I am happily playing catch up to keep up with all He has put in front of me. So if it feels like I have been showing up a lot the last few days — I have.

And today I am dropping a new episode that feels like it was made for this exact moment — because May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this one is too important to let pass without talking about it.
