Come and walk with Christ through His Passion and Resurrection.

04/06/2026

Yesterday, on the Sunday before Great and Holy Pascha, we celebrated Palm Sunday, one of the most joyful feasts of the year and the beginning of Holy Week.

This feast commemorates the Entrance of our Lord into Jerusalem, following His glorious miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead. Having heard of this miracle and anticipating His arrival, the people went out to meet Him, welcoming Him with honor and shouts of praise.

In the same way, we received and worshiped Christ, acknowledging Him as our King and Lord.

As we continue through Holy Week, we are called to remain with Him walking the path that leads to His Passion and, ultimately, to the joy of the Resurrection.

Glory to God for a wonderful and joyous weekend in the life of our parish! 🙏✨

We had four readers tonsured today: Reader Michael, Reader Nicholas, Reader Jerome, and Reader Josh. Many years!

Deacon Stephen was blessed to wear the Double Orarion. May God grant him many years as he continues to serve Christ and His Holy Church.

We were also blessed by talks from Metropolitan Jonah, who shared stories from his time at the University of California, Santa Cruz where he started the OCF. From that group there are now three bishops, two in Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and one in the Orthodox Church in America. He also spoke about his friendship with Seraphim Rose and his time at Valaam Monastery after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Please keep our clergy in your prayers as they travel to Atlanta Monday through Wednesday.
Glory to God for all things! ☦️

☦️ Sunday of Orthodoxy | Triumph of the Icons

The Sunday of Orthodoxy is the first Sunday of Great Lent. Since the year 843, it has proclaimed the victory of the holy icons after more than a century of iconoclasm.

On this day, the Church celebrates the restoration of icons and their veneration. A triumph of true faith that has been commemorated ever since as the Triumph of Orthodoxy.

Experience the beauty of the icon procession and the living tradition of the Orthodox Church.
