HEY! We’re making a film! In Israel! A Galilee Film Enterprises production, director Rob DeMaggio and cinematographer Michael Hilsden are collaborating to make a faith-based film on Jesus’ teachings on being “lost”. The film basically poses that all humans are lost from God – until they are “found”. The film also suggests the essential problem humankind faces is inner turmoil, disillusionment and depression – and that the only cure for this is a new life – a rebirth of one’s spirit.

LOST!
HEY! We’re making a film! In Israel! A Galilee Film Enterprises production, director Rob DeMaggio and cinematographer Michael Hilsden are collaborating to make a faith-based film on Jesus’ teachings on being “lost”. The film basically poses that all humans are lost from God – until they are “found”. The film also suggests the essential problem humankind faces is inner turmoil, disillusionment and depression – and that the only cure for this is a new life – a rebirth of one’s spirit.

The film revolves around five characters – five young people who through their depression suddenly find themselves in a “barren – wilderness” place. Together they explore the meaning of being “lost”. Finally, they hit upon the teachings of Jesus and his parables on the “Lost” – the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son – the prodigal. They eventually come to understanding and the hope of a new life.
The film is now in pre-production and is auditioning actors interested in performing is faith-based film. Filming will begin this July! CONTACT: Rob DeMaggio at: [email protected] and/or Michael Hilsden.

Who and What are we?
The Jonah Mission is a ministry of Pastor Rob & Betsy DeMaggio*, dedicated to completing the Commission of the Messiah, Jesus: Go unto all the World and proclaim the Gospel – to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile. The Jonah Mission focuses in on the “10 – 40 Window” – the least reached and the most-needy of the all the nations. See our website: thejonahmission.org
What’s happening now?
• Keep the Light: Our small band of Prayer Warriors meets for a powerful hour of prayer – interceding for Hasidim of Monsey, NY and the Lost Sheep of Israel. Last year was a year of outreach and preaching on the streets of Monsey and handing out Bible tracts and even the Gospel in Hebrew and Yiddish. We are now praying and preparing to go into the streets again this spring in the Passover Season. Pray for us.
• Endgame: Ten Final Moves to the End of the Kingdoms of Men. Our first book is in the final stages of editing and is nearly ready for printing and publication. We hope to get the book out by June, ’23.
• The Jonah Hebrew Course: We have begun teaching a new course, here at Elim Congregation, which studies the Book of Jonah in its original Hebrew context. The Jonah Course is an inductive study that also teaches the Hebrew language for beginners. Lesson 1 can now be seen on Elim Messianic Congregation’s You Tube channel. Lessons 2 and 3 will be on You Tube this week.
What’s Coming Soon?
• Evangel-Film: This is a calling we’ve had for a long time and have now just begun. We are in pre-production for our 1st film “Lost”, which focuses on the truth that all men are “Lost” until they are “found”, saved by God through His Son, Yeshua! We are now in pre-production with Michael Hilsden, a cinematographer from Jerusalem and hope to begin filming this spring or early summer. The film will be made with all Israeli actors in the Land of Israel – that the Gospel may go out (again) from Jerusalem! We are praying for financial support.
What’s in the future?
• The Sign of Jonah: This is a 1 hour, prophetic/evangelistic message that dramatizes the Book of Jonah, complete with big screen backgrounds and sound effects. We have our 1st presentation of “The Sign of Jonah” in Jacksonville, Fl. This spring! Would you be interested in hosting a presentation in your congregation?
• Prophetic/Evangelism Movies: The Lord has put a desire in our hearts to make evangel-films that will charge the Church to spread the Light of Messiah and invite the lost to receive His salvation. We need support to reach the lost and the Church. Consider being a part of reaching the lost through this creative outreach with a potential of reaching anyone in the World with a computer!

WHY THE JONAH MISSION?

WHY "THE JONAH MISSION"
Jonah was a prophet who said "no" to God when the Lord asked him to preach repentance to sinners. I chose Jonah as the representative of Missions today because...Jonah reminds me of myself, and of the institutional Church today.

Those of us who are of the Congregation of the Redeemed by God - The Church, have been called by the Lord Jesus to bring the good message of God's Salvation to the nations that are lost from God, and perishing in this sinful world of men. In Mark 16:15 we are called to bring the Gospel to EVERY Person!

HOW ARE WE LIKE JONAH?
1. Jonah had no problem preaching the Lord in "Church."
2. Jonah had no problem serving the Lord when the message was well-liked and his service would be well appreciated.
3. But when the Lord asked Jonah to take His message to Jonah's enemy, Jonah said "no." Not in so many words, but no, he didn't really obey the Lord.
4. Finally, Jonah still needed to learn the lesson that the Lord God loves ALL peoples (John 3:16), yes even our enemies. Those enemies, that even now, we are praying for God to Judge and maybe even destroy! Jonah did the same thing.

WHY THE JONAH MISSION? Jonah reminds me of ME.

WHAT CAN WE DO?
1. Repent for our disobedience REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO JONAH! -- SEE THE PHOTO!
2. Pray for the Lost. I mean really spend time and pray -- with heart!
2. Carefully give to servants of God (missionaries, evangelists, etc) who are bringing the Word of Salvation to the most needy and LEAST REACHED! Most of all missions giving is going to countries who have heard the Gospel for many years, over and over -- while there are still MILLIONS who have NEVER heard the Gospel -- and no one is going to them. Like the city of Nineveh, Jonah's enemy, the most lost and least reached are in the countries of our "enemies".
