Obituary for
Danny Maurice Trichell
August 18, 1957 - January 26, 2025
Danny was first and foremost a man of God who loved Jesus and His people. He pastored The Church for 24 years. He believed that ministry should mostly be outside the walls of the church. He ministered in homeless shelters and soup kitchens, rehabs and motorcycle rallies, in Haiti and in Ghana West Africa. He started a phenomenal prison ministry going into Louisiana prisons and detention centers. He was a part time chaplain and later a volunteer chaplain. He became a pioneer in establishing resources for inmates returning to society. He has been a motorcycle enthusiast since his teen years, and became a vital part of the motorcycle community. Danny loved the outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, camping or riding, he wanted to be outside. Danny absolutely loved music and passed this love down to his children and grandchildren. He played several instruments but loved the guitar. Danny was a member of the Butte Tribe of Bayou Baourbeaux and served his tribe as an honored Christian spiritual leader. Danny was a pastor, husband, father, grandfather, friend, biker, musician, gardener and chef. He will be missed.
Danny was preceded in death by his mothers Ruby McDaniel and Maudell Martin and his fathers Arvil McDaniel and Vernon Trichell. Sisters Billie Ruth Stephan, Jean Duffy and Marilyn Lay and brother Larry Martin.
Danny is survived by wife, Terry Stephens Trichell,
