Hello everyone,
It is with great sadness that a decision has been made to shut down The Church. The Board of directors and I think that this is the best decision at the present.

As most of you know, we conducted more services outside the church building than we did inside the church building; until the last few years when we were unable to travel . Many of you learned that you have a ministry, that you are a missionary and that you are to preach the gospel in your own unique way. So I expect to hear and see more great ministry stories from all of you who have attended our church in all its forms. This is what Danny would want you to do.

My plan is to take a sabbatical for as long as I need it. Then I image God has something else for me to do. I love you guys. God bless you, Terry

Obituary for
Danny Maurice Trichell
August 18, 1957 - January 26, 2025

Danny was first and foremost a man of God who loved Jesus and His people. He pastored The Church for 24 years. He believed that ministry should mostly be outside the walls of the church. He ministered in homeless shelters and soup kitchens, rehabs and motorcycle rallies, in Haiti and in Ghana West Africa. He started a phenomenal prison ministry going into Louisiana prisons and detention centers. He was a part time chaplain and later a volunteer chaplain. He became a pioneer in establishing resources for inmates returning to society. He has been a motorcycle enthusiast since his teen years, and became a vital part of the motorcycle community. Danny loved the outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, camping or riding, he wanted to be outside. Danny absolutely loved music and passed this love down to his children and grandchildren. He played several instruments but loved the guitar. Danny was a member of the Butte Tribe of Bayou Baourbeaux and served his tribe as an honored Christian spiritual leader. Danny was a pastor, husband, father, grandfather, friend, biker, musician, gardener and chef. He will be missed.

Danny was preceded in death by his mothers Ruby McDaniel and Maudell Martin and his fathers Arvil McDaniel and Vernon Trichell. Sisters Billie Ruth Stephan, Jean Duffy and Marilyn Lay and brother Larry Martin.

Danny is survived by wife, Terry Stephens Trichell,
Children: Mandy Trichell, Gabrielle Trichell, James Trichell, Candace Trichell, Jessica Stanley, Angel Kelley and husband Brian, Jon Haynes and 14 grandchildren. Brothers Eugene Trichell and Kenneth Martin, Sisters Rhonda Hudson, Vernadell Moss, Kellye Block and Sue Naron.

Pallbearers are Joshua Young, Tim Stampley, Richard “Doc” White, Jack Davenport, Moose Womack, Bruce Hummer and Allen Ashley. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Howington, and the congregation at The Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to The Church or a prison ministry of your choice.
