Ase to this whole message.

At 46, I’m learning the same thing — our ancestors weren’t playing when they held tight to IFA. Life will humble you real quick and show you that money, friends, even smiles can’t buy you peace.

What I love about IFA is it brings you back to character. How you treat people. How you guard your mouth. How you honor elders. How you stay soft like Osun but disciplined like Ogun.

You can pray all day, but if your heart’s not right, what are you really asking for?

The world’s loud, but these teachings are still the blueprint. I respect it, and I’m still learning.

Aboru Aboye Abosise 🙌🏾✨📿

IFA IS MORE THAN WHAT PEOPLE THINK

The older I grow, the more I understand why our ancestors held tightly to the teachings of IFA.

Life is not easy.
Sometimes people are smiling outside but fighting battles nobody can see. Some people have money but no peace. Some have friends around them but still feel lonely deep inside.

That is why spiritual guidance matters.

One thing IFA teaches us is that life is deeper than what the eyes can see.

A lot of people misunderstand IFA because they only focus on what they hear from others. But when you truly sit with the teachings, you begin to realize that IFA is really about wisdom, balance, patience, truth, and character.

IFA teaches us how to live as human beings.

It teaches us to respect elders because nobody becomes wise overnight.
It teaches us to be careful with the words that leave our mouth.
It teaches us to avoid jealousy, betrayal, greed, and dishonesty.
It teaches us to stay connected to our ancestors and never forget where we come from.

Honestly, many of the problems people face today would reduce if more people practiced good character.

In IFA, character is everything.

Because what is the point of praying every day if your heart is filled with wickedness?
What is the point of asking the Orisa for blessings if you keep destroying people around you?

The Orisa teach us different lessons in life.

Ogun teaches us to work hard and stay disciplined even when life becomes difficult.
Osun reminds us that softness, kindness, and love are also forms of power.
Sango teaches courage and reminds us that injustice always has consequences.
And Orunmila teaches wisdom, patience, and how to move through life with understanding.

These teachings are not old-fashioned. They still matter today.

The truth is, many people are spiritually tired. They are searching for peace everywhere but forgetting to fix themselves from within.

IFA reminds us that peace does not only come from money.
Sometimes peace comes from living honestly, praying sincerely, and staying aligned with your destiny.

No matter how modern the world becomes, I will always respect the wisdom of the ancestors.

Because before us, there were people who already understood that human beings need spiritual balance to truly survive this life.

We all know that Easter is based on celestial timing. That's right; apparently, the resurrection of Jesus isn't about Jesus at all. Easter is the astronomical celebration of the coming of spring.
Easter is always on the Sunday after the first full moon of the spring equinox.

Ascension Day is also based on celestial timing. Although it was celebrated on a Thursday, it is now a Sunday; either way, its timing is one week after the new moon, after two full moons have passed after Easter.
Ascension Day water is collected around 40 days after Easter. Around 40 days after Easter is during the phase of the new moon, which is after the second full moon and after the seventh Sunday after Easter. Remember, we know how the number 7 is holy—7 days of the week, 7 continents, 7 major bodies of water, etc. Which means Ascension Day moon water is powerful. According to Hoodoo, the new moon allows for things to grow as the moon grows: preparation for the future, new beginnings, and wishes.
There are recordings of how to work the new and full moon in the slave narrative transcripts, BTW. Ascension Day water is considered blessed and can heal the sick.

Omens and Customs around Easter according to Hoodoo:

* Missouri Hoodoo says that if a person dies on Easter Sunday, for seven consecutive weeks, there will occur seven deaths.

* Always wear something new on Easter for luck.

* The sun will typically come out to shine on Easter.

* If it rains on Easter there will be more rain for the next seven days.

* If it rains on the Friday before Easter it is good luck.

* If there is an early Easter there is an early spring.

* If there is a late Easter there is a late spring.

* If it snows on Easter there will be bad luck and is a sign of death.

Tuesday Work for the Ancestors 🔴🕯️

Tuesday is a day for strength, protection, and forward movement with your ancestors. After feeding them on Monday, this is when you ask them to stand beside you and work with you.

1. Light a red candle for strength

Red candles are used for courage, defense, and spiritual backbone.

Say:
“Stand with me where I must stand strong.”

This is especially helpful before hard conversations, court matters, job decisions, or situations where you need confidence and support.

2. Offer coffee or fresh water

Fresh water refreshes the spirits. Coffee wakes them and calls them closer to act on your behalf.

Place it at your ancestor space and say:
“Walk with me today.”

Simple, old ways still work.

3. Burn protection herbs

Traditional choices include:
• bay leaf
• rosemary
• basil
• sage

Let the smoke pass over your hands or your doorway to clear what should not follow you inside.

4. Carry a protection coin

If you placed a silver dime in Monday’s beans, Tuesday is when you begin working with it.

Carry it in your pocket or bra and say:
“What guarded my people guards me.”

Over time, it becomes a personal ancestral protection charm.

5. Sweep your front steps

This is quiet porch conjure that’s been done for generations.

Sweep outward from your doorway and say:
“Nothing meant for harm crosses here.”

Morning is best, but any time with intention will do.

Hidden Porch tradition note 🌿

Across parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, Monday fed the ancestors. Tuesday was the day you asked them to stand up and act, bringing strength, protection, and movement to the living.

2 PAC MENTIONED HER MULTIPLE TIMES

Most of you don’t know who she is but she’s important. Her name is . In 1991, at the ripe age of 15, Latasha went to her local Korean owned food mart and never made it out. The store owner’s wife, , mistook her for trying to steal a bottle of orange juice and a minor struggle ensued. Du grabbed Latasha and ended up getting pushed to the ground. Du then went and got her gun and pointed it at Latasha. Latasha bends down, picks up the orange juice, and places it on the counter. As Latasha had walked away to leave the store, Du shot Latasha in the back of the head at a 3 foot distance, killing her immediately. Du tried to claim self defense, but there were 2 eyewitnesses and the store’s security camera showed otherwise. The jury convicted Du and advised the judge to go with the maximum sentence of 16 years. Du walked away with 400 hours of community service, 5 years probation, and a $500 fine, as the judge said although Mrs. D acted inappropriately, her actions were justified. Judge Joyce Karlin states that Mrs. Du was the victim, Latasha is the criminal and would be standing in front of her for assault on a store clerk had she not died. The slaughter of Latasha Harlins is one of major factors in the initiating of the . We only hear about Rodney King but she is the original . Tupac had an affinity for Latasha and has mentioned her name in several songs as well as dedicated the iconic song “Keep Ya Head Up” to Latasha. So today we say Latasha Harlins, you’re a pillar baby girl, whether they realize or not. And today, someone heard ya story❤️

If an Orisa chooses to use your body as a vessel to deliver a message, the least you can do is ensure your spirit is clean. Too often, we see individuals with questionable behavior claim to be in a trance and begin delivering messages. Honestly, if your character and conduct do not reflect someone pure enough for the Orisas to inhabit, it becomes difficult to take your messages seriously.
