We are Erik & Suzy--a fun and loving couple from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/ St. As many of you know, our family was formed through adoption and we are looking forward to growing it through adoption. After a relatively short experience with infertility, we began our adopt

ion journey and welcomed a little girl in 2013. We can't wait to welcome a child into our homes through a supportive, open adoption! Spread the word! Over the past few years, more than half of our agency's infant domestic adoptions actually occurred through connections formed outside of the agency. This is where you come in! These connections are increasingly made through networking with family, friends and beyond. It only takes a quick click to LIKE our page and another to SHARE with your own friends and family, yet that click may be the very thing that leads us to a successful match with an expectant mother! Earlier this spring, we shared that we had been matched with an incredible mama and were waiting for the birth of our son. The past months have been such an adventure, with endless lessons of love and strength. Love has been defined over and over--through a special connection with his beautiful mama, through the eyes of a four year old, and through the birth and growth of the sweetest little baby boy--our son. Today, we celebrate our family of four and the love of all that surrounds our son--from birth family and adoptive family alike.

To the sweetest, snuggliest, and smiliest baby boy there ever has been, our son--we are so glad you're home! To the strongest, most resilient, and intuitive baby girl we are fortunate enough to call our daughter--you are an inspiration! And to all for your support--thank you a million times over.

Kenley woke up yesterday asking if we could go " on a little adventure at glacial potholes"--one of our favorite state parks. Of course, we jumped in the car! She also decided she needed a pack on our little hike. Needless to say, she packed it herself.

"My animals have never seen the glacial potholes and they'll be sad if they miss them! Ready for a hike, little buddies?"

Loving spring! 🌺🌼🌸 We've spent a lot of time recently at one of our favorite gardens that seems to go on forever--the Arboretum. Fun to experience with a little one where the space under the lilac bushes become her lilac house, the stepping stones of a garden safety from hot lava, and the contemplative shelters ninja headquarters. I could play here all day soaking up the beauty and her imagination!

A difficult situation marked by many emotional moments brought much pain and sadness for us, but also a wonderful promise of spring days of renewal together as a family. We are so fortunate to be able to lean into each other in times like these for healing and love. Guided by the innocence of this beautiful child we are so blessed to call our daughter, we will always seek joy. She forces us to be strong and to stay positive, for she looks to us for how to handle it all. It is alright to be sad, we tell her, important to remember and celebrate what was, but most of all vital to our souls and our family that together we find joy in each and every day. We will do so for her and any other children that come our way every day of our lives. In the midst of it all, we choose each other, we choose joy, we choose love.
