Encounter School of Ministry Portland invites adults 18 and older to the Summer Intensive, a two-day introduction to practical, authentically Catholic formation in identity, prophecy, healing, and inner healing.

Come encounter Jesus more deeply, receive practical tools for everyday discipleship, meet the Portland Encounter community, and discern whether the two-year school may be the next step God is placing before you.

No previous theological education or ministry experience is required. Encounter Portland operates with the approval of Bishop Peter Smith.

Treasure hunting! Our students learn how to pray and ask God who needs to be highlighted for them. Here, Rachel was highlighted somebody that needed to know that they are important and loved but somebody very specific. This testimony is incredibly moving and we feel so humbled that the Lord invites us to pray for our brothers and sisters ❤️

Thank you Jesus!
Portland Encounter had an AMAZING time at the Encounter Ministries conference in Grand Rapids Michigan. Our own Bishop, Bishop Smith opened the conference and was absolutely amazing to listen to! We are so blessed!!

Our students, both graduates and current, experienced an encounter with God in worship, talks, Mass, Confession, Adoration, being healed, being with each other, and so much more!
Even though we encounter Jesus often, we were all poured into so much these past few days, and were ministered to. We brought your prayer intentions with us and please know that if you wanted to be prayed for, you definitely were 10x over hahaha
For the Glory of God we are so blessed to have been here at this conference! If you want a taste, come to our Summer Intensive!! Aug 14-15. We’ll pour into you there.

“God is good for me.”
For many of us, that can be one of the hardest truths to really believe.
Not just that God is good in general. Not just that He loves other people.
But that He is good to me. That He sees me. That He cares for me. That He is trustworthy, even in the places of disappointment, loss, and hidden pain.

This testimony is a reminder that the Lord is not afraid of our questions, our wounds, or the places where our faith feels fragile.

He meets us there.

And as we keep bringing our real hearts before Him, He begins to heal what has been cold, restore what has been wounded, and make our faith real.

Praise God for the way He turns trials into perseverance, and perseverance into testimony.
