The Boise Regional Conference is just a few hours away, and it is such a gift that something like this is happening so close to us.

This is a space where we gather as faithful Catholics, sit under solid teaching, worship in the presence of Jesus, receive the sacraments, and get equipped to actually live the Gospel with power and confidence.

If you are a current student, this will strengthen what you are learning.

Jesus still heals.

On March 12, our Year 1 students will be leading a Physical Healing Practicum at Christ the King Catholic Church.

We believe the Kingdom of God is not a theory. It is a reality.
When we step out in faith, Jesus moves.

Come ready to worship, to receive prayer, and come ready to encounter the healing presence of God.

What a year it has been, friends.

As we look back, we are filled with gratitude for all the ways the Lord has moved among us. So many graces poured out. So many hearts encountered. So much growth, courage, and faith lived out in community.

Thank you for saying yes this year! Yes to wanting more from God, Yes to letting Him form you. Yes to letting God meet you right where you are.

We carry deep joy and expectation as we step into the new year together. We cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store and to continue walking this journey with you.

Merry Christmas from Encounter Portland.

As we gather one last time before the New Year, we want our students and community to know how deeply grateful we are for each of you. What a gift it has been to walk together this year in faith, prayer, and fellowship.

For our students we will not see again until next year, after tonight, please know that you go with our prayers. We are lifting you and your families to the Lord, asking Him to pour out peace, joy, protection, and renewed hope during this holy season.

We cannot wait to see what God has in store as we step into the New Year together. Until then, may your Christmas be filled with the presence of Jesus and the love of those around you.

There is a simple rhythm to living a supernatural life with Jesus. These four movements show how we grow as disciples who hear His voice and carry His presence into the world.

We begin by encountering the voice of the Good Shepherd. Everything flows from intimacy with Him. As we learn to recognize His voice, we discover that He speaks to us because we belong to Him and He desires relationship with us.

From there, we receive His heart. His words shape our identity, renew our thinking, and heal the places that have grown weary or discouraged. We learn to live from love, not striving.

Out of this intimacy and identity, the gifts of the Holy Spirit begin to flow naturally. We step out in faith and share what God is doing, allowing His gifts to strengthen, encourage, and console the people around us.

And we grow through community. God forms us through long term discipleship. We practice in a safe environment, receive feedback, and are strengthened by the faith of others who are on the journey with us.

These four movements are not steps to accomplish but a lifestyle we learn to live with Jesus. This is the kind of life He desires for every believer. A life rooted in His voice, shaped by His love, overflowing with His gifts, and nurtured through community.
You are welcome in this journey. You were created to walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

At Encounter we practice this simple exercise: imagining Jesus sitting in the chair next to us. In that space, we invited His presence and asked Him to reveal whatever He wanted to show us.

Maria shared how she felt physically and emotionally safe in the presence of the Lord. Her testimony reminded us that when we slow down and make space for Him, He meets us with gentleness and love.

Take a moment today to try this yourself. Picture Jesus beside you. Breathe. Let His peace fill the room. He is closer than you think.

Last week our students stepped into a powerful night of intercessory prayer for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the room was alive with faith. We lifted one another before the Father and asked Him to pour out the same gifts He has already given us wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and a holy fear of the Lord.

He showed up.

He always does.

When we pray like this, we are not begging for something distant. We are agreeing with Heaven. We are joining Pentecost. We are fanning into flame the fire of the Spirit that already lives in us for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Come Holy Spirit. Do it again in our hearts, in our homes, in our Church.

Welcome to Encounter School of Ministry Portland Campus!

We are so excited to begin a new year with both familiar faces and brand-new ones. Each class night we come together as family to encounter God through praise and worship, receive from powerful teaching, step out in activations, and grow together in the gift of small groups.

🔥 Year 1 students are stepping into Identity and Transformation. This quarter is all about discovering who we are and whose we are, living as beloved sons and daughters of the Father, and learning to see with a heavenly perspective.

🔥 Year 2 students are diving into Intimacy with God. This quarter invites us to cultivate a deeper life of prayer, to abide in His presence, and to discover that all fruitful ministry flows out of intimacy with Him.

To every student joining us this year, we are so glad you are here. We believe the Lord has amazing things in store for you. Together we will see transformation, breakthrough, and deeper encounter as we walk in our Kingdom identity.
