In 19 years, 5,747 bikes and 2,901 helmets have been made Santa Ready! Our Story:
In 2006 the Mullenbach Family in Johns Creek volunteered to be Santa's helpers at the North Fulton Community Charities Santa Shop where they provide holiday gift support for over 900 families. That year they ran out of bicycles. In 2007, the Mullenbach's collected 65 bikes in one neighborhood. By 2012, the family pro
ject was being supported by churches and community organizations, who all volunteered time and energy to collect over 750 used bikes, trikes and scooters from over 35 neighborhoods and several church drives. In 2014 the program was going to close. Bike Alpharetta, a 501c3 non profit organization that promotes safe and fun cycling, decided to take over Bikes for Kids and revamp the program. More than 114 volunteers helped in two months to donate, clean and repair more than 150 bicycles, tricycles and scooters, and provided more than 160 new helmets! These were donated two North Fulton Community Charities and Home Stretch. Thanks for visiting our Page!
