We were truly blessed by the preached Word delivered by our very own Associate Pastor Rev. Virgil Larkin from II Timothy 1:12, entitled "Do You Know Him?"

Pastor Larkin challenged us to examine the depth of our relationship with Jesus Christ not just knowing about Him, but truly knowing Him through faith and trust. In a world filled with uncertainty, we can stand confidently because we know the One in whom we believe.

"For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day." — 2 Timothy 1:12

Thank you, Rev. Larkin, for this timely and encouraging message that reminded us of God's faithfulness and power to keep us in every season.

Today, we proudly recognized our 2025–2026 college graduates during our Graduation Ceremony. We thank God for the accomplishments of Sister Vickie Grable, who earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, Special Education (General Curriculum K–12), and Sister Danielle Reese, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Criminal Justice.

We also celebrated the successful completion of Vacation Bible School 2026: Reigning with Purpose (1 Peter 4:19) by presenting certificates to all participants and teachers. Over three inspiring days, our children, youth, and adults grew in faith, fellowship, and understanding of God’s purpose for their lives.

Special thanks to Sister Greta Mosley for her outstanding leadership of this year’s VBS. We are also grateful to Lady Peggy Chester, Sister Evelyn Foston, Min. Aaliyah Taylor, Dea. George Richardson, Sister Vernette Felton, Sister Linda Franklin, and everyone who contributed their time, talents, and support to make VBS a tremendous success.

Congratulations to our graduates, VBS participants, and teachers! May God continue to bless you as you walk boldly in His purpose and serve His Kingdom.

The last day of Green Pasture’s Vacation Bible School was fun-filled and packed with outdoor exploration, excitement, and learning! Our children enjoyed engaging activities, games, and hands-on experiences that reinforced this year’s theme, “Reigning with Purpose” (1 Peter 4:19).

From laughter and fellowship to meaningful lessons and new friendships, it was a wonderful way to conclude an incredible three days of spiritual growth and discovery. We thank all of our teachers, volunteers, parents, and participants for helping make VBS 2026 a tremendous success. We pray that the lessons learned throughout the week will continue to inspire our children to live with purpose and faith every day.

GPBC VBS Day #2 was nothing less than great! We had an amazing time as the children, adolescents, and adults continued learning more about “Reigning with Purpose” from 1 Peter 4:19. Through engaging lessons, worship, fellowship, and activities, participants were encouraged to trust God, walk in His will, and live purposefully each day.

We are grateful for everyone who attended, volunteered, taught, and supported this ministry. We look forward to the last exciting day of growing in faith, building relationships, and discovering God’s purpose for our lives.

We thank God for Pastor Jamaica Kelly for delivering a powerful 5th Sunday message from Job 1:20-21 entitled, "It's Time To Get Up."

Through Job's example, we were reminded that even in seasons of loss, disappointment, and hardship, God gives us the strength to rise again. Our circumstances may knock us down, but they do not have the final say. Faith calls us to get up, trust God, worship through the storm, and continue moving forward in His purpose.

Thank you, Pastor Kelly, for allowing God to use you to encourage, challenge, and inspire His people. We pray God's continued blessings upon your life and ministry.

Day 1 of Vacation Bible School at Green Pasture Baptist Church was phenomenal! 🎉

We had an amazing time singing, learning, laughing, and growing together in God’s Word. The excitement, energy, and participation from everyone made for a wonderful next two days.

We thank God for all of our volunteers, teachers, parents, and students who helped make the first day such a success. We are looking forward to all that God has in store as we continue our “Reigning with Purpose” VBS journey.

“Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.” – 1 Peter 4:19
