peace. ✌️
yesterday I sat reflecting on my weekend thinking....”when did I give myself the space and time to sit in peace.” I spent time with my loved ones, with my friends...sharing so much joy and hope and love...

but my heart was still longing for some peace
some stillness
a quiet moment to rest and be
be still & know

sometimes I’m on the run 🏃‍♀️
because of how challenging life gets
and the heart ache and pain I feel

from LOSS
to me
to others
in general

I run away from God 😣
internally...I know that when I sit with God-I have to face the pain I don’t always want to feel as I surrender it to Him...so instead
I run away from time with HIM
and the stillness and peace I receive with HIM

But my heart still longs for the peace HE gives ❤️.
so despite the past few days of running...today I’m deciding to choose HIS embrace
& to receive the peace that only HE can give.

it makes my heart so sad when I think about the fact that I lost hope...

whenever people would ask me how I feel about social injustice...specifically race related issues...I would express my frustrations along with other sentiments but I’d also say....hopeless.

feeling hopeless is a low and dusty place! OK...it’s full of sorrow and despair...it’s powerless and filled with oppression...which is defeating within itself.

in recent months I’ve also dealt with the fears and concerns of being pregnant while being black. during my first labor and delivery experience....I felt like an experiment. I felt like my medical providers neither saw nor listened to me.... and watching my friends experience similar traumatic encounters makes me a little hopeless and concerned just at the thought of trying to conceive....it’s a real life struggle! 🤦🏽‍♀️

it’ written on one of my bracelet....but it’s really in my mind and heart....the desire to have more hope in God, in people, in society...

it’s a journey...to grow in hope!

hope...hoping for a safer & kinder place for us all to commune and be.... ✨✨

that’s all me. and today my back is completely tight. I can’t get a massage at this present moment but I usually do this quick body scan and stretch to help release the tension. ⁣

we face so much pain and adversity in life⁣
that it’s essential to give our body and mind love .... as much as we can.⁣

yesterdaaayyyy was one of those days where I could have gotten so deflated....I’ll give you the run down 😰 ⁣
⁣
I was on the run all day at work(quite literally), I got about 10 minutes into my lunch break before being called to a crisis [schoolcounselorlife]⁣
⁣
when I got home...I realized that an “unnamed” company shut down my ads after day two of testing my audience 🤦🏽‍♀️ ⁣
⁣
I checked the stats and it was my first no sale day 😂 that came quick 😝 but it was only 1 day. I have plenty of sale-ing ⛵️ days to come! 🙌🏽⁣

on the positive side, I shipped out the first set of orders! can’t wait to see them on your wrists. ✨✨⁣
⁣
my best friend/ accountability partner hit 20k subscribers on the tube! . 😘⁣
⁣
and I just couldn’t be deflated- because-with every fiber in my being, I believe and know that there’s so much more to come. ⁣
