VBS starts one week from today! Looking forward to sharing Jesus with our little ones in Irion County! Registration will open at 5:30 pm and VBS starts at 6 pm.

All volunteers please arrive by 5 pm for our devotion and meal time together!

PLEASE NOTE: For insurance purposes, ALL VBS VOLUNTEERS are REQUIRED to have a background check and complete a child safety training online. Pastor Kathey Adams with the Methodist Church will be coordinating this and each volunteer will receive an email from Ministry Safe beginning this Saturday in order to get these two things accomplished before VBS starts. The VBS fund will cover the costs for the background checks; the training is free.

🛑 If we do not have a background check on file for you and you do not complete the training then you will not be able to volunteer for VBS. 🛑

If you know of someone who wants to volunteer but has not registered then please let them know they will not be able to volunteer without a background check or training completed. I know many people show up to help each year without registering so if everyone could help me spread the word that would help.

Sorry for the last minute notice on this but it is something that is required by the Methodist Church’s insurance company and it is for the safety of our children.

We will be hosting a VBS meeting for volunteers on April 12th at the Mertzon Methodist Church Family Life Center at 2:00 pm. We would like for everyone who plans to volunteer to make this meeting so we can go over expectations, answer any questions and provide progress updates on planning.
