Today is the day!! Our beloved friend JJ will lead us through 🙏 Trusting God in Troubling Times 🌊! It will be from 1:30–5:00 PM at St. Raymond Church in Menlo Park. JJ will share her beautiful story—one marked by deep grief, strengthening faith, and the true beauty of God’s presence in pain. After losing her mother, JJ’s journey became a powerful testimony of healing, trust, and hope. Her witness will speak to anyone who’s ever walked through difficult seasons in search of peace.

This afternoon is a chance to slow down, be refreshed, and gather with other women who are also walking through their own seasons of faith. Come as you are—this is a space for real connection, honest hearts, and sisterhood.

The Mary’s Retreat October event was so peaceful and life giving! Carla helped us 🎨 paint a landscape inspired by Psalm 16:11 and we enjoyed yummy cookies together 🍪. It was a beautiful way to connect with other women, slow down, and contemplate how God is asking us to journey with Him. We continue to be so inspired by how the Holy Spirit moves when we come together as a Mary’s Retreat community. God is clearly in action in this ministry! 🙏

Our next monthly event will be ⚔️ Warrior Dance 💃 with María NuMi on Saturday, November 9, from 1:30-5 pm at St Raymond! María studied clinical psychology and neurocognition, is a dance therapist, entrepreneur, ex-fibro Warrior and traveler. She has a beautiful faith that has carried her through the ups and downs of life - we’re so excited to get to witness her gifts in this next event.

🙏🏽Thank you all for coming yesterday, it was such a beautiful afternoon together!
👯‍♀️We were so touched by the deep conversations and growing friendships.
✝️It’s a blessing Mary’s Retreat can be a place for women to be on the journey together towards Jesus, regardless of what season of life or faith we’re in.
💪Mary R’s amazing witness of how God’s Church showed up for her in the midst of mental health challenges was a perfect reminder that we are never alone, and we have sisters and mothers that we can always lean on.

🧘 She’ll lead us through prayerful movement, helping turn our hearts, bodies, and souls towards the Holy Spirit.

🗣️ Mary Reilly, our very first speaker for our monthly events! Couldn’t have picked a more beautiful soul to bring her amazing story about mental health to our Mary’s Retreat community.

🦅 Mary is 34, grew up on the East Coast, and is a teacher, a friend, a sister, a walker user, and a diehard Philadelphia sports fan (Go Birds).

👩🏼‍🏫 She’s currently in a grad school program at Notre Dame for Educational Leadership.

🙏🏽 Her journey with God has had its ups and downs and now she finds herself in a flow of God’s love!

We are two weeks away! If you are in the Bay Area, we hope that you join us! 💛

The theme this year will be “Mourning to Dancing”. We’ll learn about how Jesus walks with us in suffering and heals our wounds, so He can ultimately bring us new hope and joy. Mary’s heart felt the deep piercing of Jesus’s Passion and the unparalleled rejoicing in His Resurrection. She is an amazing model and friend to us women, in our unique mourning and dancing, and always brings us to her son in the fastest and gentlest way imaginable.

Throughout her apparitions, Mary has continued to ask that we pray and fast for peace. Join us in 7 days of daily rosary for peace in Gaza— in particular for the children and their families affected by violence. Everyday until Christmas, we’ll say a daily rosary for the intention of peace. We’ll start at 8am Pacific Time/ 11am Eastern Time. DM for details.
