Hello!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We have two weeks left before we break for summer, and I hope we all have a heart to finish strong!

Quick note / reminder that this week we will be meeting at MY house. 34276 Torrey Pines Court, Lake Elsinore, CA 92532. We're about 2 miles behind Tom and Jennie's home - not far at all. Hopefully not an inconvenience for anyone.

For this week's study, we'll take a look into the 2nd "I Am" statement made by Jesus, as found in John's Gospel. John 8:12:

"Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life..."

We'll answer some of the following questions:

1. What is the significance of the Bible's own commentary on God's light? How many passages can you find as references that speak to this?

2. What is the significance of the image of "light vs darkness"? Why is this so fundamental in our lives as disciples of Jesus?

3. What are the practical ways we walk in the light? What are some things we can think of related to 'darkness'? How does this shape us at the 'street level'?

I look forward to digging into this with all of you!

Also, we'll have the regular, potluck style, 'bring anything' menu choices. 🙂

One more housekeeping item: next week, our last gathering until the break, we'll meet at Tom & Jennie's at our regular time. We'll have a more extended time of fellowship and prayer, along with a short devotional.

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since we've been together - we definitely miss you all! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas season - and that the New Year has been filled with God's blessings for you and your family.

We are just around the corner from beginning the next cycle of Impact Groups! I'm excited to announce that we will be returning, in person, at Tom and Jennie Crunk's home in Menifee. Our first time back together will be Monday, February 8th @ 7pm.

We will be prioritizing the essentials of the church - in doctrine, prayer and fellowship, and we hope to have worship occasionally as well. Also, we will begin a new study series centered around 'God's Story'. I think you will really enjoy this series. Books will be available in the next week and I'll update you on that. Occasionally, we will pause from the book series and spend time in the Gospel of John as well.

During this time, with COVID-19, turbulence and other hard things we've all been through, I want us to remember that the #1 calling we have is to continue to BE THE CHURCH. This begins with gathering together in the home - and growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.

So please update your calendars for Monday nights - 7pm - beginning on Feb 8th - and I hope to see us all together again soon!

Hi Everyone ! Hope y'all had a great weekend.

Tonight is our last fellowship before we take a short break, so we'd love to see everyone make it out. But...

We need to relocate for tonight's time together. The Crunk's are taking care of the kids who are a bit under the weather, so we'll be at my house tonight!
