Hello, FB Friends!

I’m happy to share some wonderful news with you.

In October 2025, our congregation voted to rename our church The Good Shepherd Alliance. After months of working through the process, on Thursday, August 7, 2026, the State of Missouri officially granted our request.

There was a problem that initially caused our petition to be denied, so we went to the state office to resolve the matter. By God’s grace, everything was worked out.

Today, it is official: We are now The Good Shepherd Alliance!

Our name may have changed, but our faith, our purpose, and our commitment to God remain the same. We will continue serving Him, sharing His love, and carrying out the mission He has entrusted to us.

We may be a small church, but we believe that God can do great things through a faithful congregation. We will continue to let our little light shine in this community, reach out to those in need, and be a place where people can find faith, hope, love, and fellowship.

A new name. New logo. The same faith. The same God. The same mission.

Welcome to The Good Shepherd Alliance.

May God continue to guide and bless The Good Shepherd Alliance as we begin this new chapter together.

WELCOME TO SPRINGFIELD!

Yesterday, Sunday, July 26, 2026 at church, we had the joy of welcoming a new family into our church family—the family of Rev. Yao Soua Moua.

Over the years, our church has experienced seasons of growth and seasons of decline. We have seen our numbers increase and then decrease again, and we have remained a small church here in Springfield. Yet while our membership may be small, our faith has grown stronger.

Even though we are small in size, God has not forgotten us. People often look at the size of a church, but God looks at the size of the hearts of His people. What matters most is not whether a church is large or small, but whether it remains faithful to Him. We continue to do what we can with the abilities and resources God has given us.

What has happened in these past few weeks has been unexpected and encouraging. God has brought the Yao Soua Moua family to Springfield, and now they are part of our church family. From the moment we met, we shared a common bond through our faith in Christ Jesus. It is Jesus who makes us one—not blood, ethnicity, or family connections.

We warmly welcome Rev. Yao Soua Moua and his family to our church and to the Springfield community. We hope they will discover the unique charm of our small town and enjoy their new home here. May God continue to bless them richly in their walk with Him and in the journey that lies ahead.

After several years without a pastor, the New Life Hmong Alliance Church in Springfield, Missouri, was blessed—unexpectedly and wonderfully—with a new pastor provided by God.

You’re invited to celebrate the installation of our new pastor, Rev. Yao Soua Moua, this Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Dr. Lantzia Thao will be here to install and celebrate with us.
