I find myself neglecting things that should have my attention and giving my attention to things I should neglect. Have you ever been there. I was listening to a sermon on line about the three Hebrew children and in the sermon he talked about how the three Hebrew children wouldn’t bow to another God, then ask the question do you bow to anything? Then all of a sudden his phone started ringing, people all over the building started grabbing their phones to make sure it wasn’t theirs. That made me stop and think a little, what do we put in front of God. How easily distracted are we? What takes our attention off God? When I started this ministry page a long time ago it was my full intention to share Bible scriptures, To Be real and raw about the things we face and fight, but, guess what I got distracted. I often use the scripture in church “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you” But, do we really seek him and be content with what we have. We often pray for bigger houses but don’t clean the one we have. We pray for better pay but don’t pay the tithes God requires in what he has already given us. Laying awake at 12:45 am I have come to the resolve of I need to do better. I need to refocus my attention. I need to seek first the kingdom of God. It doesn’t take a lot of time to encourage, it doesn’t take a lot of time to be kind. 2025 brought hurt and disappointment. 2025 brought laughter and happiness in many ways, 2025 gave me lessons learned. Here we are in the 6th week of 2026 and has the lessons learned taught us to focus on God or has it gotten us so distracted that we forgot God. Lord teach me to be quiet and learn lessons of you, lessons of love, lessons of wisdom. Teach me Lord to be willing to learn.

It’s 4 am! I have been up for a while and the sleet hasn’t let up. The beauty of snow and ice is just hard to beat. The beauty of changing colors in the foliage of fall is hard to beat. The beauty of the new flowers of spring is hard to beat. The beauty of a lake full of boats and the sun beaming down on the water in summer is hard to beat. No matter what season you love there is beauty in it.
In the Bible there is that scripture that says in whatever state I am in there with to be content. We all complain, I love snow but enough is enough. I love summer but man this heat. I love spring but this pollen is killing me. Man I love fall but these leaves I rake them today and tomorrow you can’t tell I’ve done a thing. There are pro’s and con’s to every season of life. Some we love and others we don’t. This morning even though it’s been a long night, I am thankful. Thankful for life, thankful for friends, thankful for plenty of food and thankful for all the extras I don’t deserve, but God gave them anyway.
Last week on Sunday my sermon was. What so ever things are lovely, what so ever things are true, what so ever things are of good report, think on these things.
God is our healer, he is our provider, he is our comfort, he is our peace. Today think on these things. Have a blessed day. Take the snow and ice stay-vacation to thank God for the blessing you have. I have a friend (Heith Crow) who often post this (Don’t forget to thank God today for the things you want to wake up to tomorrow) I know you may not be able to get to work, but thank him for your job, I know your kids don’t get to go to school, but thank him for their education. There is always something to be thankful for. Think on those things. Be encouraged today!! God bless!!
Today as I look out under the night light and see the sleet and snow falling. I am thanking him for warmth and coffee!

God will always take you through what life leads you too.

If you would have told me 50 plus years of go that I would be sitting holding a phone that I could take anywhere I go, I would have said you were crazy. Now we live in a world where artificial intelligence is more common than human intelligence. When did it start being okay to generate something fake to stir up strife between neighbors and friends? I was reading the story of David and Goliath in the Bible. I even spoke on that in church Sunday. David told the Goliath that he was coming to him in the name of the lord, and we all know David prevailed and Goliath failed. If we could understand that calling up on the name of the Lord is the only way we are gonna kill the giants in our life. We all need some giants in our lives to be slain. But,People today create such nonsense, for instance pictures of politics holding up signs would you vote for me if I ran again, and, hundreds of people chime in and before you know it people are calling each other names and arguments start. I feel pretty sure that our elected officials in our high government offices don’t have time to make, and hold cardboard signs to ask for your approval. We however need to take time to call on the name of the Lord and use human intelligence instead of artificial intelligence. If there was ever a time we need to call up on the name of the lord it is today. This a.m. at 4:30 I am praying God bring our nation back to its knees and back to the God it was built on. That’s my heart at this early am. Have a God filled glorious day filled with love and family. Love you! In the words of a friend of mine “Sam Shull would say go be amazing”

Morning friends, I am gearing up today to be able to start our study tomorrow night. If you want to join me in my women’s ministries page I plan on going live tomorrow night at 7. I will be at Sonny’s tomorrow night and sometimes I do not have such great service but we are going to give live a shot. If you plan on joining me grab you some paper and a pen. It’s going to be a personal journey so you will need to make you some notes. Today get you a pen and jot down this Bible scripture, Psalms 139:14 “ I will praise the for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”
Write that on the front of your note book make you a few copies and post them on the places you visit frequently like the bathroom mirror, the refrigerator, The snack drawer. Just know as we start this we are not perfect we are human. But we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Have a blessed day see you tomorrow night

I am pretty transparent in telling people I am not a perfect pastor or a perfect person! I have to say that this sermon got me. It is so easy to join in conversation’s that I should keep My mouth shut, it’s easy to judge things I can’t begin to understand and it’s easy to say if I were you. Lord help me to improve in my behavior and to be more like you! This is my prayer today!! Listen to this sermon of Robert Madu. Guys if we can’t go to church together and prayer for one another how in this world are we gonna go to heaven together. Lord help me to look in the mirror and only see my faults not others. He is still working on me.
