A Call To Prayer A call for prayer for our nation to repent and return to the principles that God has revealed through Holy Scripture and history. Will you accept?

On Tuesday, August 25 2020, I, +Dr. Russell McClanahan, experienced a profound personal encounter with God. One of the first persons that I immediately spoke with was +Dr. Robert Wise. We agreed that the essence of the experience was a strong call to our nation to repent and return to the principles that God has revealed through Holy Scripture and history. If we fail to do so, God will withdraw Hi

s hand of blessing upon this nation. Therefore, +Dr. Wise and I agreed to extend an invitation to ALL people to pray for our country daily. Excluding all political interests, this is an open invitation to agree to pray once a day and seek the face of God for our Nation for One year. The need of the hour is for repentance and intercession for our nation. God’s exhortation in II Chronicles 7:14 says, “ If my people, who are called by name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” We would encourage you to read the remainder of the chapter. We invite you to join us and also to invite others to join this journey of soul searching and prayer for America during this next year.

Sincerely set a time each day to seek God’s vision for our lives anew. How are we to flesh out the purpose of our lives, regardless of our age or life circumstances. How are we to put flesh on the message of Jesus.

When we observe the sea birds circling over the ocean, we may think from their mannerisms that they are contemplating the greatness of the ocean itself. But, alas, this is not so. For though they may circle and gaze for long periods of time, the instant a small fish is seen near the surface, a bird will fall upon it and devour it. So it is with many in regard to prayer. Circling over the ocean of the limitless presence of God, they give little or no thought to God Himself, but rather are absorbed in the thought of acquiring some special goal or object, of changing this or that, and thus they turn away from the true object of prayer.The goal of true prayer is not to alter the will of God, but rather to know God in such intimacy that we discover His purpose for ourselves.

The greatest sanctuary of all exists within the human spirit. This is the secret place to which God calls us. It is here that we may withdraw to be engulfed by His presence. It is here that we are refreshed and given direction for our lives. It is in this Holy place that we may meet Him face to face and discover our true selves and the purpose for which we were created. It is also here that we can feel the most alone. This place is also the void that we so often seek to fill with things that are less than God, and which we can never satisfy except with God. For this place is reserved for God only and will remain empty and void until He dwells there.

Update on Hurricane
Hurricane Helene at the last few minutes changed course and missed a direct hit on Tallahassee. Absolute miracle. We were without power for about 10 hours and all is back to normal today. We expect to not have power for WEEKS, which happened once for 2 weeks. Much prayer was lifted and I am absolutely convinced of God’s intervention.
