MADE NEW

Romans 6:4- “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”

It’s amazing to hear Cristina’s story of how God changed her from living a life she says was complete darkness to now having love in her heart for God and others.

Jesus doesn’t demand that we earn his love but he loves us first and changes our hearts to love him. It is by Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection that we are made new.

If you’re life is full of hopelessness, overwhelming difficulties, or just isolation and darkness, we invite you to be made a new person by Jesus. At Imago Dei we are aiming to be a church of house churches reaching every community in Memphis so everyone has access to being made new by the gospel, made whole through biblical community, and glorifying God by making disciples.

We celebrated Josiah’s new faith in Christ today through baptizing him!

What a wonderful joy to follow Jesus. Praise God that he saves!

Our very first baptism is happening this Sunday!

This is the first step in Josiah’s life to following Jesus…being Made New.

God changes our entire life when we place trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross. The first step after trusting Jesus is obedience in baptism where we proclaim to the world that our old life is buried and we are raised to walk in new life following Jesus’s teachings.

At Imago Dei Church we believe new life in Christ is us being MADE NEW by believing the gospel, MADE WHOLE through joyful obedience to Christ’s commands, and actively MAKING DISCIPLES to advance Gods Kingdom here on earth.
