Kingdom Builder Ministries serves Pittsburg County, OK and nearby communities through home repair, faith-filled service, and skill-based support—giving hope, restoring dignity, and raising up Kingdom Builders one project at a time. By restoring homes, offering hands-on training, and coming alongside families with compassion, we aim to rebuild hope, restore dignity, and raise up Kingdom Builders in every community we serve.

🌪️ One Week Ago… Kingdom Builder Ministries Didn’t Exist.

We had the dream.
We had the burden.
But we didn’t know how—or when—God would bring it to life.

And then the tornado hit.

In the aftermath of destruction, heartbreak, and debris, God stirred something deeper in us. And almost instantly—Kingdom Builder Ministries was born.

We launched the page within hours. We started saying “yes” before we even had it all figured out.
And then God breathed on it.

With just our hands and our three teenage kids, we got to work.
We cut a massive tree off an elderly couple’s roof and patched the holes in their metal within 24 hours.
We cleared a widow’s driveway and tree limbs off her vehicle so she could leave her home again.
We pulled tangled limbs off broken fences, smashed cars, and torn-up homes—praying with strangers as we went.

We’ve met people this week who’ve been living in unsafe homes for years—long before the tornado came.
Single moms. Elderly neighbors. Widows. People with disabilities. Folks with no family to call. No money. No options.
But they’re calling us.
And we’re answering.

Even before Kingdom Builder Ministries had a name, the work had already begun.

On Memorial Day weekend, our family spent time in Blanco and Gowen, clearing storm debris, cutting trees, and doing what we could with what we had.
We helped clean up the Blanco Cemetery, honoring sacred ground that had been torn apart by the storm—removing branches from gravesites and restoring dignity where it had been buried beneath the rubble.
We didn’t have a formal team yet—just a burden in our hearts and a willingness to show up.

Shortly after, a photo posted by Golden Drywall & Remodeling—our family’s business—was featured in the local newspaper showing a moment from that same weekend, during the time our crew was helping clear a mile-long driveway to reach isolated residents in the Blanco community.

And just a few weeks later, after the McAlester tornado, the paper reached out again—this time including our work crew in a new article, featuring a photo of one of our hands working on an elderly woman’s impacted roof.

We didn’t set out to be seen—we just showed up.
And somehow, God keeps letting that story shine.

In just 7 days, God has:

🔨 Cleared trees from homes, cars, and yards
🏚️ Patched roofs. Delivered supplies. Met people at their most vulnerable moments
🙏 Brought divine appointments and opened doors we never could have forced open
📲 Launched this page, created an intake system, started a volunteer hub at our church, and now opened a new Facebook group to coordinate the growing movement

And the needs keep coming in.

Calls every day. Families overwhelmed. Homes caving in. People unsure how to get through tomorrow.

But you know what?

We know what God can do when people say “yes.”

This ministry didn’t begin in comfort—it began in chaos.
But God is showing us that Kingdom work happens in the rubble.
And we’re not just showing up for the storm victims—
We’re showing up for the brokenness that existed before the winds blew.

Because our community doesn’t just need recovery.
It needs restoration.

We believe in:
🛠️ Fixing roofs—but also restoring dignity
💛 Cutting trees—but also lifting burdens
🙏 Rebuilding homes—but also healing hearts

This is our story.
This is the calling we’ve stepped into.
And this is just the beginning.

And the more we serve, the more we see:

This week we’ve heard from families still with 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 and damaging their roofs — some with physical limitations or no one nearby to help.
We’ve cut out 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬, trapping people in.
We’ve heard from neighbors struggling with 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨 ever came.
We’ve been called about homes where 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧, or basic repairs are far beyond what the family can afford.

And it’s 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘢𝘺.

Because this is what 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 was made for.
⚒️ 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴.

We’re still working through 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 — clearing trees, patching holes, and showing up where we’re called.
But between the cleanup calls and volunteer messages,
𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨.

It Was Always God. 💛

We’ve been dreaming of this for a while—even when we didn’t have the full picture.

For years, we’ve been praying and piecing it together. Asking how the heart God gave us for building, recovery, mentoring, restoring, and ministering could come together in one calling. I didn’t know what it would look like yet. But I was learning to listen—to really discern His voice. And I was doing the deep work it takes to say “yes” before knowing the whole plan.

Friday night, I stayed up late working on the pieces.
The name. The branches. The mission. The logo.
It finally felt like it was starting to come together.

I didn’t plan to launch it yet. I thought I had more time. Who knows when or if it ever would have even happened.

Then Saturday morning, the tornado hit.
Our neighborhood was hit the hardest. We sheltered with our babies as the pressure shifted, the windows rattled, and the whole house shook.
We lost fence, power, playsets… but the tree missed our home.

We were spared—for a reason.

So we prayed. And we went.
And I sent it all.

Within hours, the page was live, the name was declared, the team came together—and the boots were on the ground. Chainsaws in hand. Heart wide open.

That’s how Kingdom Builder Ministries began.

Not with a strategic launch.
But with a yes in the storm.

Now, we’ve helped clear roofs, patch holes, and embraced neighbors who’ve lost everything. And that’s just the beginning.

Because Kingdom Builder Ministries isn’t just about storm relief.
It’s about meeting people in crisis, rebuilding homes and hope, and helping people live like they were made for more.

That’s why we built it on five branches:

We didn’t have a perfect plan.
We didn’t have a donor list.
We didn’t even have a ministry page until about 60 hours ago.

But we had a chainsaw.
We had compassion.
And we had the kind of holy fire that won’t let you sit still when someone’s roof is caving in.

This weekend, we saw trees removed. Holes patched. Families embraced.
We also saw tears. Trauma. And houses held together with hope.

We’re still at the beginning—but Kingdom Builder Ministries was born for this.

And now—we can’t do it alone.

🛠️ We need volunteers — strong backs, kind hearts, willing hands.

Just 24 Hours In. And Already—We See the Need. 💛

In just over a day, Kingdom Builder Ministries has heard from dozens of families impacted by this storm—each one carrying a burden that matters.

We have been blessed to be able to help single moms, elderly families, and neighbors who had trees fall through their roofs—with no insurance, no savings, and nowhere else to turn.

We’ve cleared limbs, patched holes, cut trees off of homes, and done what we could with what we had. This is exactly why Kingdom Builder Ministries exists: to meet urgent needs when no one else can.

Right now, we’re:
✅ Prioritizing homes with safety concerns
✅ Serving those without insurance or emergency funds
✅ Coordinating volunteers, resources, and support

After confirmed rotation and severe storms in McAlester this morning, many homes have been left damaged and families are facing immediate needs. As the wind settles, we’re stepping in to serve at NO COST. 🛠️💛

Kingdom Builder Ministries is responding with skilled, faith-filled support for those impacted by this storm.
