I was praying this morning and the Lord gave me this. We are a vessel. When we think of vessels we think about boats. How do boats stay afloat? Because they don’t have holes and are sealed to keep the water out. Boats sink because water comes in and weighs them down and they sink to the bottom. Often rock bottom.
So here is where it gets interesting. Think of yourself as the boat. And water as sin. What happens when we sin? We get weighed down to the point where we sink just like the boat because the weight of the sin is unbearable. So we sink to rock bottom….
May I ask who is the rock at the bottom? His name is JESUS and he wants to restore your boat with one that is sealed with the Holy Spirit so sin can no longer get into the heart of your vessel. How? How does GOD do this???
Well the Bible tells us that we need to repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. We need to be born again and receive a new heart of flesh replacing the hardened heart of stone that has been made that way through sin and the weight of the world. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit so sin can no longer have domain inside our vessel. We need to turn from the sinful water we have been sailing in and move to calmer waters.
The great news is that no matter how good or how bad your vessell is it can be restored. If we repent and ask forgiveness he will put our vessel back where it belongs with him on calmer waters. Please try to stay out of hurricanes they will surely sink you.
