Does your child love singing? Our Youth Schola sings for Father Marquette Catholic Academy PK-8 school Masses each week on Friday mornings 8am during the school year at Saint Peter Cathedral. This is an excellent opportunity for children 2nd grade - 8th grade to participate! The word "Schola" (PRONOUNCED "SCH - OH - LAH") stems from a Latin term meaning "school of singers" which historically has always been associated with a group of singers who specialize in church music, especially Gregorian Chant. Consider bringing your child for a brief 10-minute audition with Diocesan Director of Sacred Music, Mr. O'Brien, to try out!

The Mass begins on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. (ET) with prelude music beginning at 3 p.m. (ET). Bishop John Doerfler is the principal celebrant with priests of the diocese concelebrating at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette, Michigan.
