"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men."— Colossians 3:23

This Labor Day, our church family wants to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for everyone who serves our community through hard work. Whether you are clocking in early, managing a home, caring for others, teaching, building, or leading, your daily labor matters.

When we give our best effort, we aren't just earning a living or completing a task. We are honoring God and loving our neighbors. Your dedication shapes the heartbeat of Cobb County and reaches far beyond it, bringing grace and light into everyday spaces.

Thank you for the energy and heart you pour into what you do week in and week out. We pray this weekend brings you deep refreshment and a reminder of how valued you are!

Happy Labor Day from all of us! How are you taking time to rest and recharge this weekend?

Find rest for your weary soul.

In a world that constantly measures our worth by our productivity, stopping can feel uncomfortable. We rush from task to task, carrying heavy loads and racing against the clock, forgetting that we were never meant to run on empty.

God doesn't just invite us to work for Him; He invites us to rest in Him. Just like a quiet bench beside still water, His presence is a place where we can lay down our burdens, quiet the noise of our minds, and let our spirits be refreshed. True restoration happens when we stop trying to control everything and simply sit with our Shepherd.

Take a deep breath right now. What is one weight you need to leave on this bench today? Let us know in the comments how you plan to find a moment of stillness this week.

God wants to be your place of refuge.

What if your digital life wasn't a separate room you locked God out of, but just another place to walk with Him?

"Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."— 1 Corinthians 10:31

As followers of Jesus, it’s easy to treat our lives like a house with locked doors. We give God the living room of our Sundays or the office of our work, but we keep a private back room for our digital habits and our hidden weaknesses. We convince ourselves that what happens behind the screen stays behind the screen.Jesus doesn’t want to be a guest in just one room of our house. He is Lord of the whole landscape. When we view our entire existence—online and offline, public and private—as one single space under His care, everything changes.

Technology was made to be a tool, not a tyrant. It is a servant, not a master. When we surrender our devices to Him, we stop using them merely to consume, and we start using them to love our neighbors faithfully.

Take a moment to step back and look at your life as one undivided space.

If Jesus walked with you into every single room of your week—including your browser history and your social media feeds—what would look different? What area are you ready to hand over to Him today? Let us know in the comments below.

We like to think we are entirely self-made. But how much of your life and your experience is impacted by forces you can’t see?

If you didn't grow up in a church, the idea of an unseen God "fashioning" or molding your life might sound a little strange. It’s entirely fair to ask: How can something—or Someone—we can't see have an active interest in who we are becoming?

But when you stop and think about it, we are already shaped by invisible forces every single day.

Look inside your own body. A microscopic virus or a change in body chemistry can completely alter how you feel and function. Look at the air around us—invisible pollen can trigger an immediate physical reaction.

The same goes for our minds and hearts. Learning is an unseen force, yet it permanently restructures how we think. Think about love. You can’t physically see "love" walking around, but you absolutely experience its effects. Being loved by someone deeply alters your confidence, your choices, and your identity.

If invisible things like these can fundamentally reshape us, is it really so outrageous to think that a caring Creator could do the same?

The prayer on the screen reminds us that God isn't a distant bystander. He knows you by name. Just like a master potter gently working a piece of clay, He wants to mold our character, our patience, and our hearts to be more like Jesus: the ultimate reflection of love and wholeness.

You don't have to have it all figured out to participate with Him in the process.

What if you trusted the One who made you to help shape what comes next?

This week, our building has been absolutely buzzing with kindness! Two of our amazing volunteer teams teamed up to make a huge impact for local educators.

First, a fantastic group of high school students from Harrison High School joined us for their weekly community service. Not only did they work hard keeping our main gathering spaces clean and welcoming, but they also lent their hands to a special project. They carefully attached handmade notes reading "Thank you for making learning SWEET!" to thousands of cookie packages.

Next, our Teach Love Ministry is stepping in to cross the finish line. This dedicated team meets monthly to support, encourage, and host community groups for local educators. Now, they are hitting the road to deliver these sweet treats to thousands of teachers all over our community.

At Due West Church, we believe that community thrives when everyone has a seat at the table. We love that our spaces are filled with people of all ages, backgrounds, and unique abilities. There is a place for everyone here to belong, connect, and make a difference.

📣 Looking for a welcoming place to connect, serve, or just find your community? We’d love to welcome you this Sunday. Plan your visit or find a volunteer team that fits you perfectly! ➡️ www.duewest.org

If opening your banking app gives you a pit in your stomach, you aren’t the only one.

Money has a weird way of taking over. Before you know it, financial anxiety is calling all the shots and dictating your mood.

Pastor David Campbell brought this up recently, looking at a famous part of the book of Matthew, in the Bible. He pointed out that money worries weren't actually meant to run our lives. The big takeaway wasn't that life will suddenly become cheap or easy. It was that we have a Creator who sees us and promises to help us through it.

If you are exhausted from carrying all that pressure, you don't need to have religion all figured out to get some relief. Maybe the first move is just entertaining a new idea: that a personal God actually cares about your daily needs. It’s a small shift, but it might be exactly the step you need to take today.

Want to explore this idea further? Drop a comment below or send us a DM—we’d love to chat, no strings attached.

Parents, take a breath.

Between school, sports, and work, life moves at a frantic pace. It’s hard to find time to connect with other adults—let alone cook a meal and find a babysitter.

What if you could get a night off?

This Thursday night, leave the cooking and childcare to us. Our Families Small Group is a warm, friendly space where you don't have to have it all together to belong.

Bring your messy days, your real questions, and your family. We are just a genuine group of loving folks learning how to walk a spiritual life and support each other through the crazy ups and downs of parenting.

🗓️ When: Thursdays at 6:00 pm
📍 Where: Building A (Downstairs)
🍝 Perks: Free dinner + safe, fun childcare provided!
No performance required. Just show up and find your people.

Text/Call Adam Godbold at 678.995.9595 to let us know you're coming so we can have the childcare and food ready.
