📣Exciting News from Embrace Ministries! 📣

We've made some changes to our program to better support moms in our community. We're now focusing on Embrace Life groups and have partnered with Johnson Ferry Baptist Church for Embrace Grace. This partnership allows moms to join us for Embrace Life after graduating from the Embrace Grace program. We're thrilled about this partnership and how it helps moms connect with the community. As part of these changes, we'll be deleting our old Facebook and Instagram pages. Please follow our new page, Embrace Ministries East Cobb Presbyterian, to stay updated on all the latest news and events!

“I did it again” As moms we’ve all thought this to ourselves. “I wasn’t patient enough with my child.” “I shouldn’t have reacted that way.” “I wish I had been nicer to my child.” “I should’ve been more present for my child.” You can go on and on with all the ways you feel like you have failed. Feeling pulled in so many directions is overwhelming. There are so many things to keep up with as a mom. And in those moments of stress, we all tend to react in ways that we later regret. But the good news is that there is still grace for us. Of course, we want to strive to do better next time. And there will be times that we do better. But in those moments when we’re full of regret. Those moments where we feel like the worst mom. There is still grace. Pray to God, ask him to help you and to guide you. There are so many little moments to navigate through the day that can end up being big moments, depending on how we handle them. Start your day by asking God to help you navigate all of those moments. At the end of the day, celebrate the moments that were good! And strive to do better in all the places you feel like you came up short. It will get better! You are not alone in this. All moms feel this, even if they won’t admit it. You can do this mama!

Are you or someone you love raising a child as a single mom?

There is a local group, right here in East Cobb, starting a new class in January 2023 called Embrace Life. Our goal is to serve and bring hope to young single moms providing spiritual, emotional, and practical support in a loving and accepting environment. All of our leaders have been trained and the group will be comprised of young women, just like you.

Our group will meet weekly, beginning January 29, 2023, at East Cobb Presbyterian Church. If you are interested in finding out more, click the link in the comments to fill out an interest form or click the link to go to our event page. Someone will contact you soon!

This mama went on to graduate from Texas Tech alongside parenting her son! Single mamas - you can have your baby + your dreams too! We are here to walk with you - read her story below.

“Four years ago I found myself single and with an unexpected pregnancy. I was lost and shocked not knowing how I would be able to accomplish my dreams of finishing college and becoming a teacher. God guided me to an Embrace Grace support group.

At this time I was considering adoption. The leaders at my Embrace Grace group respected my decision and continued to walk with me and helped me realize that my baby was not a mistake and God had called me to be a mother.

Two weeks before my son was born, I was overcome with courage from the help of God and the Embrace Grace leaders to become a parenting mother. I knew God had redeemed me of my sins and I gave birth to a beautiful boy named Luke. which means light giving to others. That is exactly who he is, a light in the world!

Embrace Grace has changed my life all for the better. I am in awe of what this ministry is and does for single mothers around the world.” ❤️

Thanks to Helping Mamas for their generous donation to Embrace Grace. Two of our volunteers were able to shop for baby essentials that we will be able to give our Blooms during the the Embrace Grace baby shower on November 6th.

The mission of Helping Mamas is to connect helping mamas to mamas needing help. Helping Mamas was founded in 2014 to collect and distribute essential baby and hygiene items to babies and women in need. Last year they served nearly 60,000 children and distributed 2 million essential items to the community.

“And don’t forget to do good and to share what you have with others, because sacrifices like these are very pleasing to God.” ~ Hebrews 13:16 ~
