Ladies, join us for a night of sharing our favorite international cuisines. Whether it's your grandma's recipe, your favorite dish, or the best thing from that bakery down the road, we invite you to share it with all of us! We will also have a contest to identify your most confounding kitchen item, and yes, there will be a prize. Women's Bible Study's next session begins September 11th. We will meet in the sanctuary from 9:30 am to 11:30 am for fellowship, worship and study time. We invite all ladies to join us, especially if you haven't been in a long time or are brand new. Come check us out and meet other women in a smaller setting. In our next study on the Gospel of John, Melissa Spoelstra will encourage you to slow down and linger with the living Word. You’ll appreciate the pace of the Savior who never hurried but completed all that the Father called Him to accomplish. As you turn the pages of John’s Gospel, you’ll be challenged to take on the posture of a learner—understanding that the peace Jesus offers is not an ease of circumstances, but a stillness of the soul. As a result, you’ll grow in intimacy with Him and learn to live, serve, and rest in His peace.

Ladies, join us for an afternoon of tea and scrumptious treats followed by a fascinating presentation from historical clothing collector Alice Miller as she presents The Styles and Stories of Our Famous First Ladies.
Hear the stories and see the fashions of some of our famous first ladies. Learn about the colors and fashions they loved to wear and even the fashions they weren’t allowed to wear! Their tales might amuse and surprise you. Funny family stories? Favorite flowers? Historical clothing collector, Alice Miller, will share these delightful stories with us.
We hope you can join us for this afternoon of tea, laughter and fellowship!

If so, please bring them, and we will have an evening of shopping/swapping! Think household items or accessories such as kitchen items, candles or purses Just remember, one woman's Goodwill donation is another woman's treasure! MAPLE VALLEY FOOD BANK
Each holiday season Maple Valley Food Bank creates a unique gift center where registered clients can choose gifts for their children. Make the season bright for our neighbors in need by choosing a green ornament and attach to a new, unwrapped gift for a child up to age 12 or a $25 gift card for ages 13 -18 and return to the deacon’s Christmas tree in the lobby. Also appreciated are stuffed animals, games, blankets, socks, hats, scarves, gloves and sports equipment. Donations of holiday food items (stuffing, cranberry sauce, boxed mashed potatoes, broth, gravy mix, mixed vegetables, etc.) are also appreciated. Help bring joy to a child this Christmas season! VMP helps single-parent families overcome homelessness by offering them safety, providing stability and equipping them for greater self-sufficiency. You can help a family by donating a gift card for $20 from Fred Meyer, Safeway or Walmart to provide clothes, food or gas. Please write the amount on the gift card and return it to the deacon’s Christmas table in the lobby. Providing a ready-to-make meal for a VMP family is also appreciated. Pick up instructions and recipe cards for Meals in a Bag at the Christmas Giving table in the lobby or print them here. Be part of the VMP Christmas excitement! Please join us at Maple Valley Church for our Ladies' Night Out Cookie & Gift Exchange! This is a great event to invite your friends and neighbors and help you get in the Christmas spirit.
Please bring around 3 dozen homemade cookies to exchange, along with a container to bring your cookies home in, and a copy of your recipe. We will compile all the recipes and email them out after the event. And if you are able please bring your favorite Christmas party appetizer to share! Dress in your favorite Christmas attire, whether it be formal or pajamas we look forward to seeing your festive look!
We will also be having an ornament gift exchange with a limit up to $30, and a raffle drawing for an undisclosed item you will definitely want!

Just a quick reminder Bible study begins this Thursday September 5, 9:30 in the sanctuary. Facilitators should be reaching out to let you know but most tables had very little change from last year. Looking forward to meeting and welcoming the new ladies and reconnecting with the rest of you.

Women's Bible Study begins Sept 5th! We meet in the sanctuary from 9:30 am to 11:30 am for fellowship, worship and study time. We invite all ladies to join us, especially if you haven't been in a long time or are brand new. Come check us out, meet other women in a smaller setting. We will be studying the book of Ezra and learning how to incorporate worship and praise even when life feels broken, not what we expected, or just plain challenging.
