Come and learn how to crochet and help us in our service efforts!
Bag ladies is a service opportunity for our women's ministry. We make sleeping mats for those in need. The mats are sent to the local homeless populations, local shelters, for disaster relief, and for those who need temporary sleeping arrangements. These mats provide a barrier between them and the hard and sometimes wet ground. Mats are made from Plarn which is recycled plastic grocery bags (plastic yarn – pl+arn=plarn).
Everyone can do something. We need cutters, braiders and crocheters. No special skills are needed. Very easy to learn. We need women for all phases of this project. Home school children are welcome.
