Join us tomorrow for Session 1 - Is This Normal?: How Grief Affects Us.

You look out your window and see cars driving by and people walking past—life seems to be moving on—but yours has been changed forever. Some days it feels impossible to get out of bed. And simple chores like brushing your teeth or doing the dishes or like mountains to be climbed, and you just don't have the energy to focus. This week's video and participant guide exercises will help you see what's normal in grief and why it affects so many aspects of your life.

GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays seminar scheduled
GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holidays after a loved one’s death. Please join us on Saturday, November 22 at First Lutheran Church Xenia. )re-registration is preferred. The participant fee is $10. Scholarships are available. The cost is [$]. Child care is available.
The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death and who offer practical suggestions and reassurance. These people share honestly about:
• Being prepared for surprising emotions that may hit over the holidays
• What to do about traditions and other coming changes
• How to handle holiday parties and invitations
• How to survive potentially awkward moments with other people
• Where to find comfort, strength, and hope in a seemingly hopeless time
Those who attend will receive a Survival Guide filled with practical tips, encouraging words, journaling ideas, and exercises for daily help through the holiday season.
