Catch This Thursday-"The Old Rusty Nail"
I’ve learned that one of the most dangerous prayers you can pray or sing without truely meaning it is: “God, above all else, I must be saved.”
Because when you pray or sing it sincerely, God will answer, record, and He will hold you accountable for the balance of it.
Not always in the way you expect, but according to His plan, His purpose, and on His terms. You quickly realize that you can’t serve the true God without real commitment. Emotions fade, logic can fail but His plan remains.
Living for God long-term requires standing firm in His Word with strength, patience, love, wisdom, mercy, grace, forgiveness, and consistency. By faith, the humble are tested, refined, and strengthened even when they don’t fully understand.
When God answers that prayer, He begins a process. Your dependence on yourself decreases, and your dependence on Him grows. What you once thought was necessary starts to fade, and His power becomes everything.
Day by day, there’s less of you and more of Him. As long as you’re breathing, your flesh is being emptied, and His Spirit is filling every space.
Here’s the truth: it’s easy to celebrate on the mountaintop shouting, praising, and rejoicing in the moment. But Monday through Saturday will test everything you declared on Sunday.
Catch this: nails and screws aren’t just made to hold things together when everything is perfect they’re built to endure, even when they become worn and rusty.
So my encouragement to you: hang in there even if you feel like a old rusty nail. Stay in place. Stay committed.
God bless 🙏
