Xtreme Fire Ministries

Xtreme Fire Ministries A ministry that strives to show the love of Christ to those that need Him the most, those that others shy away from. This ministry is not like the others.

Fearless faith, reckless love, and a fire for Christ...that is Xtreme Fire. Our path, our walks, our ways are not the same. We can't and won't try and mimic the way others started, or pattern ourselves after them. We can't compare how we are to others, we aren't like the others. Their ways are not necessarily wrong, but they are not what we do. We are called to walk and do things as close to Chris

t and His apostles as possible. We will walk where others won't, reach out to those they avoid. We will go, without fear, to the darkest corners of the earth just to share His love. From our beginning, to the time Jesus comes back, we are called to be different. We are not a church. We are a new way style of ministry, yet one based on the original style and methods of Jesus and His apostles. It's not about preaching, or teaching, but spreading His love and teaching who Christ truly is. We will do anything, risk everything just to reach that one person that needs Him the most. That is the Xtreme Fire Difference.

Sometimes it takes leaving your comfort, safety, the familiar behind. Walking with Jesus means going places you never thought you would. It's walking in faith, not walking in tradition.

"Still There"

"I want to get back to God", that's a phrase I've both heard and said many times. It took me many years to learn this truth, a truth that changed everything for me. I pray that maybe, just maybe, this will help you when you find yourself feeling far from God.
The reality is that God never leaves us. The scriptures say He will never leave or forget us. That feeling of being distant is a lie of the enemy. It's Satan's way of keeping us from true blessings, from our true purpose, from truly serving & walking with Christ.
We can spend hours, even days, fighting trying to *earn" or "make it back". We can go to prayer centers and fall on our faces during alter call, and both can and do work. Both can help us find our way back to that place of feeling His presence. But what if you can't get to a prayer center, what if you don't have a way to make it to an church for that alter call? How do we find our way back then, are we just hopeless? No. My friends we can always return to that place. It's, in all reality, as simple as realizing one truth....then accepting it. The truth is He never left, you never slipped away from Him. If you truly belong to Him, then you never fell from His grace. He has always been there, by your side, patiently waiting for you to just call out to Him. God has, and is, walking with you still. Sometimes He stays quiet, and not out of anger or because He stopped loving you. No, like any good parent, God lets us have that space to do what we want. Often that leads us to messing up, and the enemy uses that mistake to fill is with guilt. That guilt can build a wall between us and God, making us feel like He is so far away. But rest easy, my friend. He is still there, always has been, always will be. You never slipped away, He never left your side. His hands are strong enough to hold you no matter you do, His love great enough to forgive anything you might do, and nothing can or will change those two facts. No, my friend He is still in your corner with His arms stretched open. All you have to do is fall on your face and cry out to Him, realize He is still there and still loves you. Realize you are still worth everything to Him and will always be His beloved child. Know that nothing will keep Him away from you, and that nothing you do can rip you from His mighty hands. You are still His, you are still in His arms, and He will always love you more than anything else in this world.

"What Is Ministry?"

I've found myself asking a very deep, major question here lately: "what is ministry?" Is it just church, or outreach? Is it something more, something that requires more? I think God has given me the answers I was looking for and they are so simple they are often overlooked.
Ministry is simply following Christ and striving to be as much like Him as possible...period. That covers everything from loving others, to helping those in need, to worshipping God. It's what the first followers of Jesus did, what the early church was striving to be...just broken people trying to follow, serve, and share Jesus while being as much like Him as possible. It was never meant to be a building or institution, let alone a business.
Somewhere along the way we've lost sight of this, most touch with what and who we really are. With that being said, I began asking more questions...more directed towards my own ministry and team.

What if instead of trying to fit into a ministry mold, we mold ministry to the way God created us? What if instead of trying to recreate something that's failing, we build something new? What if instead of being freaks trying do ministry, we are just a bunch of Jesus freaks living for Christ?! That is Xtreme Fire. Something new, yet old. Something different, yet strangely familiar. It's just a group of outcast following Jesus the only way we know how...by being us and no one else. That is ministry in it's purest, rawest form.

We are stripping away everything that is "church". We are going back to the basics....we will be as true to the original as possible. We're doing something new, so we're gonna kick it real old school. This isn't your granny's church, this is Xtreme Fire Ministries!

"In The Dirt"

Ministry isn't always pretty, easy, or fancy. Sometimes it's ugly, hard, & messy. Don't worry so much about how it looks or sounds, worry about how effective it is.
When we focus on the performance, it becomes a show. If we focus on tradition, it becomes rituals and replaces God. If we worry only about our own salvation, we miss the entire point of the gospels.
We have to get back to a place where our worship is geared towards God only, our ways are fixed on Christ, and our hearts loving like Jesus. It's only after we strip away the pointless traditions, concerns about appearance, and self-serving mindsets that we can get back to the heart of ministry. Beyond the music and sermons, past our walls, there's a much greater need. The world needs real ministry, geared towards a real Christ, and carried out with a real love for people. Fact is this: many times the most effective ministry isn't pretty and polished, it's real and raw. It's when we let go and sincerely let God lead us that we find out the real purpose behind ministry is, and has always been, love. Love for God and love for people, that is the heart of ministry. One cannot exist without the other. There's a world of hurt and dieing people out there and we are failing to reach them. Not because the world has gotten darker, but because our hearts and minds are no longer seeking true ministry with a very real Christ. If we want to truly seek after Him, love like Him, and do our jobs as Christians then we have to be willing to get dirty, to get messy, to look foolish, and love recklessly. Not all ministry is glamorous....usually, more times than not, the most effective and real ministry is found in the dirt.

"Live It For Him"

It's not the number of verses you can quote that makes you a good follower of Christ. It doesn't matter how many services you attend, or even what your calling is or how well you do that calling. These things reflect your faith, but do not define you as a follower of Jesus. The true sign of a Christian is in their reactions to the world around them. It's the love shown to those around them, especially those that others shun or push away, that defines a true follower of Christ. It's how the respond to crisis, to problems in their lives, that reflects someone that truly seeks the Kings heart. It's the little things, the quiet moments that show the honest follower and the ones doing it for show. If your faith is based solely on scripture, attending services, and doing "random acts of kindness" only when it's convenient or others are doing it....then you are not following Jesus, you are following a system. If your faith is shown in loving those that hate you and those others refuse to reach out to, if you don't memorize scripture but actually live it, when the church becomes more than four walls and a pastor...then you are truly seeking the heart of Christ. We get one shot at this life, live it for Him.

"Gettin' Dirty"

"Prayer is so much more than just asking God for things. It's talking to your Father; spending time with Him, showing Him your love & gratitude for all He has done in your life, and building a relationship with Him. It doesn't have to be long, fancy, or elegant to work. As long as it's from the heart & sincere God will hear you & He will answer."

"His Job & Yours"

It's easy as a leader to worry or stress about ministry. If not checked, that can lead to a ministry focused approach, where you stop focusing on just loving people and start trying to "do ministry". This snare is a deadly one that kills many ministries & causes many ministers to walk away from their calling. However, when we stop worrying and let God have full control over what is His to begin with, when we focus simply on the people and loving them the way Jesus did/does, everything falls into place. Stop doing ministry and start loving people. Your job is the people, His is growing the ministry. God will grow what He has ordained. When we remember our job & fully trust Him to do His job, ministry will not only flourish but will grow into so much more than we could ever dream of. It's when we stop crossing over, stop trying to control it all, that we find our calling in it's truest form....loving God and loving people. That is when our job & His job start to align, when we can really start doing ministry.
