Broadmoor Baptist Church located on Highland Colony Parkway is probably Madison's largest church family. The church moved to Madison several years ago when the church realized that so many of their membership were driving from Madison and Ridgeland and surrounding areas to the Northside Drive, Jackson location.
Like so many churches, it begun as a house group with a small number of dedicated people in Northeast Jackson. Decades later it is large congregation with several generations participating in the spiritual benefits of an active and mission oriented membership.
There is something for everyone for every life stage. Broadmoor provides many events and programs in which the community can participate. It is the goal to provide Christ centered functions, events, and activities to strengthen the community, and more importantly, to reinforce each individual's journey in their Christian faith.
They use a verse from Matthew 4:19 to define disciple,
"And He said to them, "Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men." Being a disciple means to follow Jesus, be changed by Him, and then join Jesus in His mission. They have many opportunities to plug into missions - both local and abroad to fulfill the mission of Jesus.
