We believe that the Holy Bible, both the Old and New Testament, is the inerrant and infallible word of
God; was written by men divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21
II. The Trinity
We
believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God. He, and He alone, is the Creator and
Preserver of all that is. God is eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and co-eternal. Genesis 1:26, 2 Corinthians 13:14
III We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15
IV. The Creation and Fall Of Man
ALL human beings are born with a sin nature and are now sinners, not by constraint but by choice; being by nature utterly void of that holiness required by the law of God. Genesis 1:27, Romans 5:12
V. Repentance And Faith
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking
His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Mark 1:15, Ephesians 2:8
VI. Regeneration
We believe as a result of coming to repentance and faith, and in order to be saved, sinners must be
regenerated, or born again; that regeneration consists in giving a holy disposition to the mind; This
regeneration is effected in a manner above and beyond our human comprehension by the power of the
Holy Spirit, in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the gospel; and
that its proper evidence appears in the holy fruits of repentance, faith, and a newness of life. John 3:3,1 Peter 1:23
VII. Salvation
We believe that the salvation of sinners from the guilt and condemnation of sin is possible only as the gift
of God’s grace. It cannot be attained by good works, sincere intentions, or submission to the rules,
regulations or ordinances of this or any other Church except those identified in Scripture. It is simply,
freely, and abundantly bestowed upon all who believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and trust in the
work which He accomplished through his death on Calvary’s cross and His resurrection from the dead. Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9
VIII. Justification
We believe that the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to such as believe in Him is Justification;
that Justification includes the pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life on principles of righteousness;
that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely
through faith in the Redeemer’s blood, shed freely upon Calvary’s Cross. Romans 5:1, Galatians 3:24
IX. Sanctification
We believe that Sanctification is the process of growing in grace, according to the will of God, wherein
we are made partakers of his holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and
that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 2 Timothy 2:21
X. Marriage
We believe Scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments teach marriage is an institution created and
ordained by God from the foundation of the world, and intended as a lifelong union of one genetic man and one genetic woman. Marriage between a man and a woman is emphatically declared in Scripture to create a “one flesh” union, which in turn signifies the mystery of the union between Christ and His body, the Church. Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:25-33
XI. The Church as a Body of Christ
A visible church of Christ is a local congregation of
baptized believers associated by covenant in the fellowship of the Gospel, observing the ordinances of
Christ, governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His
word; that its only scriptural officers are Elders and Deacons, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are
defined in the Epistles to Timothy and Titus. This body of believers proclaims the gospel, makes disciples
of all men from all nations, and prefigures Christ’s kingdom by the quality of their life together and their
love for one another. Ephesians 4:11-16, Hebrews 10:24-25
XII. Baptism And The Lord’s Supper
We believe in two ordinances defined in God’s Word and illustrated by Jesus - Baptism and the Lord’s
Supper. Christian Baptism is the immersion or sprinkling of water of a justified and regenerated believer
in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Baptism illustrates, in a solemn and beautiful
public sign, our new inner faith in the salvation so freely offered by the crucified, buried, and risen Savior
which, signifies death to our old sinful human nature and resurrection to a new sanctified life and
assurance of salvation. The Lord’s Supper is the ordinance in which the members of the church, by the
sacred use of bread and juice, are to commemorate and remember together the sacrificial love of
Christ as illustrated by his death on the Cross. Mathew 28:19, 1 Corinthians 11:26
XIII. Heaven and Hell
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that those who place their faith, hope, and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord Jesus and those who reject Jesus' free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from God. Daniel 12:2, Mathew 25:46
