On this morning 139 years ago Macon Georgia woke up to a nightmare. Terrible news filled the air as people gathered around the Woolfolk family house in west Macon. Tom Woolfolk covered in blood was the only family member alive. His father and Step Mother and Step Mothers Ant and 6 of his half brothers and sisters were dead. Chopped up with an axe 🪓. Tom would eventually hang after 2 trials . All the time he claimed he was innocent. Was he? Some say he might have been innocent. What say you?

After a doctors office visit i went over to Rose Hill to look for Mr Luther Williams. I found his grave in a place i been to thousand times and never notice it there. The stadium was named for Macon's mayor at its opening, Luther Williams, whose family had migrated from South Wales, UK, in the late 1800s. Having an ardent love for athletics, he worked to bring baseball to Macon and helped get the stadium built.
