Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Association

The Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Association was organized in 1875. Current ministries include Congress of Christian Education, Laymen, Women Auxiliary, Ushers, Scholarship Committee, Youth, Missionaries. Scholarship committee and social media team has been established. The objective of the Association shall be the promulgation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through general and ministerial edu

cation and by doing missionary work at home and abroad, to promote the Union, preserve the purity of the churches by giving counsel to the churches within its bounds, to sustain in destitute place, to encourage Sunday school, temperance, education, both secular and non-secular, advise churches upon the important subject to the ordination of the ministers and Constitution of the Churches, and in all spiritual ways to promote the redeemer's kingdom on earth, but in no way affect the independence of the individual churches. To give student aid to worthy young people to further their education in undergraduate, graduate, seminary and accredited vocational institutions. Our mission statement is, “Preparing the Church to meet today's challenges Spiritually, Intellectually, Socially and Physically”
