They say "timing is everything." While we love all of our Rose Hill Cemetery 1840 families, sometimes a family name or member takes on even greater special meaning to the world and that certainly applies to "Elizabeth Reed," the namesake of "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" penned by Dickey Betts. As Macon and the world prepares to watch the documentary, "The Music of My Soul," tonight and in the coming months, it's only fitting that the family of Elizabeth Reed have just contracted with Preservation rock star, JF Fernandez and lovely wife, Merewyn, to work on the famous plot in Rose Hill Cemetery 1840. Over the coming days they'll be working on wall rebuild, repair, stabilization, installing some antique iron gating, improving drainage and some GPR to map out actual burials. Truly an honor and a very special gig! Rock On!

With tonight's Rolling Stone Magazine documentary Premiere of "The Music of My Soul" at The Piedmont Grand Opera House Theater in Macon, it's only appropriate that The Rose Hill Cemetery 1840 Illustrated Map will be on hand, VIP style and with some luck, traveling to other film showings! We're honored to be a part of it all!
