THANK YOU so much for your enthusiastic response to attending Walk Thru the Bible events in Page County! Thank you especially to all of you who have expressed an interest in more events!
For my husband and me, "It is finished." Our personal goals for bringing the Walk Thru the Bible ministry to Page Valley is complete. We wanted to expose Page to the benefits of the Walk Thru the Bible ministry, to see people's passion for the Word of God ignited, and to see people transformed through the Truth of that Word! We have planted those seeds through the Old Testament Live event in April of 2025 and the New Testament Live event in September of 2025. It is our prayer that the Lord will now grow those seeds and reap a greater harvest in Page County and wherever He nurtures that seed!
Page Valley is hard ground in terms of planting the seed of a new ministry within the churches. This is a stronghold that we hope to have placed a crack in through our Walk Thru the Bible events. We were told we could not use the venue of a church to host our events because if we held it in this particular denomination, then those of another denomination would not attend and vice versa. We chose the neutral venue of a public location, hoping to attract all denominations. We reached out to pastors in all the churches in Page County and their leadership. It was hard ground. We had two pastors attend the events, a different one for each event. And I have very limited skills in using social media to advertise the events. Probably most of you could do a better job!
But we have attendees who want more events so that their families and churches have the opportunity to participate. Praise the Lord! This is exactly the result we hoped for! We are praying that you will take your passion for what you learned back to your churches and that you will be instrumental in scheduling an event in that local body! We pray that the change in you will inspire your pastor with the results that can come when people understand the overview of the Bible and feel more comfortable opening their Bibles!
We had participants from at least four or five different denominations attend the events of 2025. If a few of those churches represented by our attendees would host events in 2026, more seed will be sown, and more people will be transformed by the Word of God!
An event scheduled within a church of a particular denomination, we believe, will achieve a higher attendance. It will not only directly involve members of that denomination and hold them accountable for taking advantage of the opportunity but will also attract other churches of that denomination within the county and beyond. In addition, it would be more cost effective in terms of the expenses of renting a venue and advertising. Hopefully, those churches would pay the fee for their members to attend. The passion for God's Word that changes the world will spread more quickly! Even better, if those of you who desire more events will work together in multiple denominations to bring future events, perhaps we can break through the division between God's people in Page Valley!
