Ministry Update

March 14th was our first Living Room event this year and featured Jacob White who sang and played guitar as our guest band. Jacob did a great job along with our keyboard player, Jeff Payne, who played drums and I played bass. My message was on "The Broken Roof" out of Mark 2:1-12. Urban Harvest Band finished out the evening with several familiar songs. The food was delicious and we had plenty of help in the kitchen. We are so thankful for all of our helpers who worked so hard cleaning, putting up the foods and taking out the trash.

Our next event will be this Saturday, April 11th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Please don't forget to bring a covered dish.

Update

This update is a little delayed in being published because of illnesses in our family and frankly total exhaustion. 2025 was a tough year in terms of illnesses with Rodney taking a tumble at an event in a local nursing home and Vicki having low iron levels, etc. Tests were run and nothing serious was found. Praise the Lord! We are back on tract for 2026!
We hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We had an awesome time at our 2025 Christmas Party in the Living Room. It was a fun-filled event with over 90 in attendance. After the altar call, Jacob White sang several great songs as people served themselves to plenty of side dishes as well as Vicki's famous brisket. As people got seated, Julie Tomplait and her band, "Old Time Religion" played some old time gospel music and Christmas songs. It is always a special treat and blessing when Julie brings the little ones to help sing. Then, Pam Mayer read the Christmas Story from the Bible and sang our special music. Rodney preached on verses that foretold the birth of Jesus and His second coming! Urban Harvest Band closed out the evening with Christmas songs and a special arrangement by Jeff Payne of "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.' It was a great way to end the year!

Our next event will be NEXT Saturday, March 14, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

We have done many fundraisers in the past for people in need. My brother, Bobby, had a stroke over two years ago. He has not been able to walk or work and requires 24/7 nursing care. Our family is struggling to meet the monthly needs for his care and now he needs extensive dental work as well. Just a quick note to let you know that our next Living Room event will be on Saturday, March 14, 2026. We pray that everyone stays safe and warm this weekend due to the ice/snow storm that is affecting so many and that is heading our way as well.
