Day 10:Gratitude Journal
I realize that there is no end to the counting of God's blessings. I thought about his mercy and how it operates with grace. All of these great characteristics of God come from His Love, compassion, long-suffering nature, and His goodness. We will conclude this journal with Psalm 103

13 "As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust."

I am thankful God is my heavenly father. I am thankful He is compassionate to those who fear Him. I am especially thankful that as our Creator, He remembers our frailties. Sadly, we sometimes forget that we are dust when we think more highly of ourselves than we should, and in our treatment of our brothers and sisters.
This year, let's try to remember who we are and who God is.

Day 9: Gratitude journal.
Giving thanks for grace. Grace is described as unmerited favor, a gift undeserved and unearned.
Beyond just "favor," grace is often described in the New Testament as a divine enabling.
It is the strength to get through a trial: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
It is the fuel for transformation: It doesn't just leave you where you are; it empowers you to live a life that reflects God's character.

Day 8-Gratitude Journal.
Today, I am thankful for the truth. God's word is truth. We live in a world where scams and frauds are commonplace. Even truth is often considered subjective and tends to evolve over time. We speak of false advertising, fake news, misinformation, and sometimes we are told blatant lies. But we can trust the Word of God, our only sense of security. Unlike men, God can not lie or change (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2). Is there any other anchor for our life, other than the Word of God? God doesn't just tell the Truth, He is Truth. Trust God.

Day 7: Gratitude Journal. We take so many things for granted. It is beneficial to pause each day and acknowledge how little we contribute to our own lives and how little control we have over the daily events of life. Life is so fragile.

Today I am thankful for healing. This is another "benefit" mentioned in the 103rd Psalm. This applies to our spirit and our body. God heals the broken-hearted and the sin-sick; He is the balm of Gilead. He is also our answered prayer for physical healing. I have been healed more than once of an invasive condition that threatened my life or the quality of my life. I am thankful for my health.

Day 6-Gratitude Journal. Look around at this beautiful universe that God has created for our habitation. Have you considered the rising and setting of the sun? It is truly a sight to behold. Pause for just a moment to commune with nature. How refreshing the winter breeze is, and the beauty of the blanket of snow. No artist can paint a landscape that compares to that created by the Master.
I am thankful for the beautiful environment we live in. Each season rivals the other, and all things exist for God's glory.

Day 5 of the 10 Day Gratitude Journal (January 5, 2026) Special thanks for my sister, who was born on this date and is still here to celebrate the occasion.

Today, I was reading the 103rd Psalm. Verse 2 states, "Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits-who forgives all your sins..." I recognize that I am a sinful creature, always in need of forgiveness for those things done contrary to the will of God. The forgiveness of God is superior to the forgiveness we receive from men, who not only remember but often remind us of our past transgressions. But God forgives in a way that sin is remembered no more, and we are reconciled in our relationship with Him. I am thankful for the forgiveness of sin and being relieved of the shame and guilt that accompany it.

Day 4-Gratitude Journal. When I turn my mind to gratefulness, I see so many things to be thankful for and must acknowledge, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17 Today, I am thankful for the good and perfect gifts. As we closed out the new year, it was a time of reflection and celebration with family and friends. I thank God for my family and dear friends. There are people in our lives who bring joy to our journey, whether they are near or far away. Some we see often and others visit occasionally, but they are special blessings in our life and we thank God for them.

Day 3-Gratitude Journal. I am thankful for the daily provisions of life, the basic necessities. God is a faithful provider who is intimately aware of and responsive to our spiritual and physical needs. "The Lord will provide" is central to His nature, Jehovah Jireh.
Matthew 6: 25-34, instructs followers not to worry about food, drink, or clothing. These things will be provided to those who make Kingdom things a priority. David affirms that those who allow the Lord to shepherd their lives "shall not want" Psalm 23.

So whether by charity (2 Corinthians 9:8) or the strength and opportunity (Deuteronomy 8:18) given by God, He provides what we need.

Day 2-Gratitude Journal. Continue reading the 17th chapter of Acts, verse 28 "for in Him we live, and move and have our being...". I am thankful for movement. There are so many different kinds of movements. Immediately, we may envision moving about in the world, being about our business. This is truly a blessing! But our movement include our rapid thoughts, flowing blood, blinking eyes, our limbs, and the muscles that allow us to smile. Often, my movements are slow and painful, but I give thanks to God for them just the same.

Today I am thankful for life. Acts 17:24, "God that made the world and all things therein...(28) for in Him we live..."

The gift of life is continually giving. Life is not an isolated event that occurred on your date of birth, but the gift of life has sustained us every day of our lives, with every breath we take and the single beat of our heart. Matthew Henry describes it as a necessary and constant dependence upon His providence. The continuation of our lives is because of Him; His patience, power, goodness, and his fatherly love.
