Message Nuggets Psalm 71:4-7, 17-18 The Power Of A Generation

David went through some things the next generation would not know unless he told them

You’ve got to tell your story

We have a generation without a shepherd

Each generation can teach another

Your mess ups are your credentials

We judge people who mess and think they can’t teach anything because of it

Who wants to learn a lesson from someone who is “perfect?”

The only place we turn away from when people mess up is the church

No one is perfect

He doesn’t leave you because you mess up-

it’s because of your mess ups that He comes and stands beside you

God chose David BEFORE his mess ups

The gifts of God come without repentance

The world calls people who mess up -failures- but God uses failures!!

As soon as someone messes up we decide God can’t and won’t use them anymore

Your mess up is prime time for God to use you!

Most of the time our story is UGLY!

Tell the ugly story not the pretty one

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
• Are you trusting God?
• God is watching over you!
• Grace and Mercy have been and will continue to follow you
• He’s got your back
• He’s got His eyes on you
• God orders your steps
• You do not have to be overwhelmed and stressed out
• When the heat gets hot, He’s your shade on your right hand
• When life gets dark the moon will guide you
• Watch for signs along the journey
• In the midst of your NOTHINGNESS He is a keeper!
• Declare your victory even before it manifests
• Don’t wait till the battle is over, shout now
• You’re coming out with your hands up!
• He keeps you in your trials!
• He’s a MESS KEEPER
• You have a message BECAUSE OF THE MESS!
• He’s a keeper EVEN NOW and forevermore

CREATE THE ATMOSPHERE!

• You gotta show up!
• Plug into Praise (What good is a phone if its not charged)
• Are you spiritually charged?
• Your mess and mistakes do not cancel you out
• God uses broken pieces
• Mercy is when God does NOT give us what we deserve
• The people built the temple, God builds the people
• Sanctification is a life process
• You don’t stop serving during the process
• Be in position in 2026
• Where are you position wise?
• Put your praise on the frontline
• Are you available for God to use?
• Enter into His gates with your hands UP not OUT?
• You need a praise for your situation
• Sing the VICTORY not the PROBLEM!
• In any situation-THE LORD IS GOOD-BETTER THAN GOOD
• When you see your problems, SING the Lord’s praises!
• God wants to change you!
• Text implies (vs 13) a spontaneity -that while they were doing something, God interrupted
• It flows out of structure-You do your part and God will do His
• They weren’t waiting for the glory to fall- they were serving -then the glory fell
• A dual concept- We sanctify ourselves, God sanctifies us!

NEW YEAR, SAME GOD!
• You must see it with your spiritual eye on your journey
• There is power in a song
• He gives you a song for your victory (2 Chronicles 20)
• When they showed up God showed out
• He used a song to give victory
• You need to give God something to use
• Pay phones only worked when you put something in it
• Victory works when you put something in it
• You can’t get victory on someone else’s dime
• Don’t leave home without a Praise!
• Do you have a FRONTLINE PRAISE?
• Your song invokes the presence of God
• Praise precedes victory
• God doesn’t NEED you-He UESES YOU!
• Be careful who you’re following!
• The enemy’s best strategy is stealing your worship
• When you praise God shows up-So the enemy tries to block your praise
• Life is lifing and he wants to steal your worship-
• Your life is not complete without the presence of God!
• Our job is to set the atmosphere (for God to move); God SHIFTS the atmosphere you create
• When you show up, show up to give to God, not expecting God to give to you
• Always consecrate yourself! Use me Lord, Here am I!!
• Your mess, and mistakes does not cancel you out from God using you!!
• There is power in Unity!!
• God didn’t do anything special to the building; He did something with the people IN the building
• He changes you!!
• What can wait so you can get to the house of the Lord?
• Nothing happens till we’re in UNISON!
• Give God something to SHIFT!

NEW YEAR, SAME GOD!
• He never fails!
• God inhabits the Praises of His people
• No praise, no habitation
• God needs something to dwell in
• You can accumulate many things on your journey, but it means NOTHING without the presence of God
• In 2 Chronicles 20, nothing happened until they BEGAN to sing and praise
• Praise precedes victory, victory does NOT precede Praise
• God created Lucifer-Ezekiel 28 refers to his music ability
• Many (NOT ALL) church dramas can be traced back to the choir
• The choir, the singing, the worship plays a significant role in worship
• Stifle music, stifle the worship
• What is the enemy after? YOUR WORSHIP!!!
• We create the atmosphere for God to show up (2 Chronicles 5)
• In this text they ALL came together
• You SET the atmosphere; God SHIFTS the atmosphere!
• When you go to work, CREATE THE ATMOSPHERE
• In your home, CREATE THE ATMOSPHERE
• You must invite the holy spirit into your space
• Life is lifing and you must get into God’s presence
• Lift up your eyes to the hills
• Keep moving up the hill and create the atmosphere with each climb!
• So-fi stadium is built as a football stadium, but when Beyonce is scheduled for a concert they create an atmosphere conducive to a concert- Once created, the atmosphere shifts! No longer football
• You have to power to create your atmosphere!
• I’m on my way UP!!

• What is your song of the day?
• Songs are powerful and universal and can speak to your spirit and your emotions
• Song can change based on your daily situation​
• You will remember a song before you remember a sermon
• Be Still and know that He is God (Psalm 46)
• Be still: Step out of the traffic! (message bible)
• Sometimes we are in our own way!
• He is the I AM God
• Whatever you need, He AM!
• He is a presence tense God!
• He never changes; He remains the same
• When you’re sick, He remains Jehovah Rapha
• When you’re in need, He remains Jehovah Jireh
• When you’re looking to someone else for help, He remains Jehovah Elyon, the Most High God
• When you go to God that’s the highest you can go!
• ALL your help comes from God
• When you feel God isn’t there, He remains Jehovah Shammah
• When life is lifing and chaos all around He remains Jehovah Shalom
