SISTERHOOD AND BROTHERHOOD!

What a joy it is to grow in a community that honors sister and brotherhood. We as people were not made for the purpose of being alone, but for the purpose of being in community. And at UCO, we not only want to honor our community as a whole and get together, but taking time to grow closer as Sisters and Brothers in Christ! And what a joy it is to be able to do so.

The girls had a time of brunch and skating this weekend! This was a great time and really reflected what being sisters in Christ really is.

The guys also had a fun time full of ribs, a special testimony, and many laughs. And what gets better than celebrating brotherhood with some fire ribs and a fire testimony from JM!

🚨SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

We will not be having UCO this upcoming week on Thursday 1/29!! REPEAT no UCO this Thursday.

INSTEAD on Wednesday January 28th at 7:00pm we are invited to go to a JOINT WORSHIP NIGHT🥳🥳🥳🥳

And in honor of us praying for Christian Unity this past week, we as UCO want to make sure we are not only praying for Christian Unity but also engaging in it (even more so than we already do)! We want to come together as different Christian Ministries for the purpose of giving praise to our Lord Jesus Christ and engaging in fellowship with one another. We are all God’s children and want to celebrate that fact together!

So come out and join us this Wednesday! We cannot wait for it and cannot wait to see you all there!

ALMOST THURSDAY!!

You know what that means!! First UCO of the semester is tomorrow!! We are SO HYPE!!

Free dinner starts at 7:30pm in the William Pitt Union Basement and Bible study starts at 8:30pm!! We are starting this semester off by changing our location for our Bible study portion of the night! We will all walk there together so make sure you’re at the WPU by 8:20pm so we can all go together! If you’re going to be late or have any questions or concerns, please feel free to DM us!! What does a Godly- community look like? Well we are a family. We come from different denominations, different backgrounds, and different places. But we come together as one for the purpose of being a community that draws each other closer to Jesus!

We are a community that is there for each other through the good and bad times. We are here to lift each other up and love one another as Christ loves us.

If you want a community/family, come check us out. We would love to meet you! This Thursday we are having our first UCO Bible study of the semester and all are welcome! We have free food, fun, and an awesome Bible study to launch off the semester right!

Wow! What an incredible weekend with an incredible community of people!

This weekend we had the opportunity to go on a retreat with our own UCO Pittsburgh chapter up north away from the city for a few days. During this retreat, we had the opportunity to not only grow closer to one another, but most importantly grow closer to the Lord. Through worship, testimonies, prayers, and scripture, we got to dive deeper with Him. We got to see the Holy Spirit work in amazing ways, and got to truly understand the meaning of a community that draws each other closer to the Lord.

Thank you Jesus for this beautiful ministry, this beautiful season of life, and a perfect way to start the semester. We pray that this would just be the start and that this semester would be a semester that honors you! We pray that Pittsburgh would be a city known for loving you even more than it is know for steel. Thank you Jesus!
