1 Thessalonians 5:19 (KJV)
Quench not the Spirit.

Perhaps we may think we can have the Holy Spirit with us all the time, even with our worldly lifestyles. Paul is reminding us that, we have the ability to quench the Spirit. So we can then ask and examine ourselves if indeed the Spirit is in us. Are we led by the Spirit in our daily lives? It is either the Spirit leads or the old sin loving flesh would be in charge. If the Spirit was indeed leading us and in us, we cannot be comfortable with so many things around us. We are compromising with sin because we have ignored the Spirit. Let's get back to the point when we depended on the Spirit in our daily movements. If we want divine security, then we need the Spirit leading us. If we want God to open doors in our lives, then we need that powerful sweet Spirit. If we want to overcome sin, then we need Him being in charge. If we want victorious Christian living, then let us get back to the basics of God leading us. To be continued.

May we not be satisfied with the current state of affairs. We must revive ourselves once more. Have a blessed Tuesday.

Happy new month.
2 Corinthians 11:4 (KJV) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

The third and most important key we need is the word of God, if we are to avoid the evil deception. The deception is based on the absence of the true word, so without that, we are exposed. It is so obvious that most of these false men of God do not teach nor preach based on the word. A full service can only be based on miracles and testimonies, devoid of any mention of the word. Even when they preach, it is just talking without any biblical reference. These people keep the word away from their followers because the word brings light and exposes darkness. Interestingly, those that are even more deadly in their deceptive skills would actually use the Bible and twist things to deceive. Either way, they are deceiving their sleeping followers. We can save ourselves from falling victims if we are awake and grounded in the word ourselves. We must make the needed changes in our lives to accommodate more time for the word; because that is our greatest weapon in these evil days. Those that sleep lack the true word. Let us stay awake and be filled with the word.

May we run to the word of God and seek to know God ourselves. Have a blessed Thursday and a wonderful June.

*Prayer:* 1. Ask God for guidance and a deep yearning for his true word.

Matthew 18:35 (KJV) So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Matthew 7:21 (KJV) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

It is the will of the Father that we forgive others from our hearts. In as much as this is a difficult call in some instances, there is an eternal price to pay for going against the will of God. Most believers have been used to sweet sermons and what makes them feel good: However, we must be told the truth as it is to warn ourselves from danger. If we insist on walking in unforgiveness, we cannot miss the rejection of God one day. Why would you gamble with eternity just because of someone who offended, persecuted, abused, and destroyed you physically? Is it really worth it to continue to hold them in your heart? Perhaps whilst you refuse to forgive them for all the evils done; they would have long been forgiven by God, and would enter the kingdom of God whilst you get rejected. Is it worth it to miss heaven because of someone? As we end the series on unforgiveness, reflect on these warnings and seek healing for your heart. The heart series continues.

May we not underestimate the danger unforgiveness poses to our salvation. Have a blessed Saturday.

*Prayer:* I am forgiving all who have offended me in various ways, so I can also be forgiven. Forgive me for my disobedience and failure to heed to your word.

Romans 13:11 (KJV) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

A general look at the Church today proves very few people know the time. Sadly, but true, fewer leaders know the spiritual time we live in. If indeed they knew the time, things would be far different than it is now in most churches. In as much as ultimate responsibility lies with leadership, each person has a duty to work out their own salvation. There is a general coldness over the Church, but it is time for individuals to wake up. Brethren, the hour is very late, and the earlier we wake up, the better for us. Years ago, the end time signs were seen once in a while in the news. Today, the case is different; not a day passes without a significant prophecy being seen somewhere in the world. Are we going to ignore all these warnings we were warned about in the bible? Please wake up and smell the change in the air. To be continued.

May we be wise and not be deceived by the pursuit of worldly things. Have a blessed Saturday.

Jude 1:7 (KJV) Even as S***m and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

How long is eternity? Have you bothered to think about this? Perhaps if we took some time to truly reflect on this, we would see the need to be careful how we live. We must remind ourselves that we are eternal beings; death on this earth does not end our lives. The body being just a container can die; actually, the body is dying slowly every day as we continue to age. However, the real being lives on forever and ever; that is why we cannot live as if this short life on earth is all there is to live. To live as if there is no life after death makes one a fool because the reality proves there is life after death. To be continued.

John 10:27 (KJV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

God is a Spirit, so the main communication channel is at the spirit level; but he is not limited in manifesting in bodily form. If he communicates at the spirit level, it means we must be at that frequency as well; we cannot be living carnally in the flesh and expect to hear God's voice. When we allow the flesh to dominate us, we get exposed to the works of the flesh; these affect our spirit man and eventually corrupts the link with God. It is common to hear people lament, how they used to hear the voice of God; after disobeying God's word and gradually drifting into a lifestyle of sin, they no longer hear the voice again. If we want to maintain a clear communication channel with God, then living holy is critical. The stronger we are spiritually, the easier it is to hear the voice of God; the stronger we are spiritually, the weaker our flesh gets, hence the ability to overcome.

May we seek to operate at the same frequency God speaks to us, so we can hear his voice. Have a blessed Monday.

*Prayer:* Ask for the grace to overcome the flesh, and to walk in the Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 5:22 (KJV) Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Most of the time we hear about abstinence, when it comes to premarital s*x; but this must extend to all evil. Actually, Paul even says the appearance of all evil; that alone should cause us to flee for safety. We can describe it as the symptoms of the evil itself; we must abstain from that, so we don't even end up doing the evil itself. We all know the signals that lead to various sins, so we must not contain the signal that eventually would cause us to sin. The signal itself may not be a sin, but it eventually can lead to a sin. For example, talking to somebody's wife or husband as the opposite s*x, is not a sin, however the type of conversation that goes on, can lead to adultery: One has to flee the moment the signals of adultery rears its head in the conversation. If we would flee from the appearance of evil, we shall save ourselves the trouble.

May we strive to stay on the path of holiness by abstaining when it matters. Have a blessed Friday.

1 John 2:16 (KJV) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

How we see this world has to change, based on how we see God, and our love for him. The devil has always used the above temptations; right from Eve and Adam, to Jesus and even us today. It is the packaging of the temptation that looks different, but the content is the same. If we understand how the world system has been designed to cause us to lust after it, we would be very careful. We are of course in this world, but our love must not be for things in it. We must use what we have and what we need, without craving for them. The worrying part with the temptation strategies the enemy uses, is that; we face it everyday. It would not stop so far as we are not dead. We would see things, we would have feelings and pride would want to control us. Self control is what we need to walk in this world and yet not love it. Self control is a fruit of the Spirit, so we need God to survive the daily battles this year.

Genesis 6:5 (KJV) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

To have a successful year spiritually, would demand we take control of our thoughts. The battlefield of the mind demands constant attention; sadly we ignore it most times and allow all sorts of filth to dominate it. We are surrounded by spiritual filth all over; the songs with bad lyrics, dresses that expose the shape and reveal things, TV filled with nudity, etc. The world has turned upside down, and if we don't take hold of our imagination, we shall always be swimming in filth. God sees every thought that we process in our minds, so we cannot hide anything. We see sin abounding in the world, and so it is very important to flee from any appearance of it. If we want to please God, then we would be seen by others as odd and weird: because we must be doing things differently as a result of taking control of our thoughts. We must desire to be different and be concerned about our daily thoughts, because that is what drives our actions.

May we dare to be different in a sin filled world. Have a blessed Wednesday.

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

In the early days of a new year, we must be mindful of how and what we say. Saying evil or negative things about ourselves, situation, challenges, families, business, etc, is wrong. At creation, it was all about, "God said". We have been given power in our tongue by God. We are spirit beings just living in a body, so we operate in the spirit world, knowingly or otherwise. Things happen in the spirit world before it manifests physically. Whatever we say, is registered in the spirit realm. It gives a legal backing, to whatever forces are at work in the spirit realm around us. Words are powerful and can make a lot of difference; either negatively or positively. So one thing we must watch carefully this year is our tongue. Even when the situation is bad, still maintain a positive confession. Also when others say a negative or curse words at us, we must counter it immediately with positive confession: It may even demand praying to counter any evil words spoken against us. Never take evil words for granted.

May we not underestimate the power in our tongue. Have a blessed Tuesday.

James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We have always been in warfare as believers, whether we are aware or not; however, it is time we pay attention to the times we are in; evil is on the ascendancy, and this means we must put our house in order and be prepared for intensified warfare. The enemy is stepping up in his attacks and we must not be clueless about his operations. We have the ability to resist him, however we must be careful not to act out of our pride and strength. We must submit to God in humility, and recognise our weakness, and emptiness, and need of his grace. In submitting to God, we are declaring we are going to wage warfare under his authority and empowerment. If we are going to be battle ready, we must assess our connection and fellowship with God; who is the source of our strength.

May we be humble and wise in our resistance of the devil. Have a blessed Monday.

*Prayer:* Ask for the wisdom to know how to submit to God; and the wisdom to wage warfare the right way.

The eighth end of year self examination is TIME 101.
Did you plan to use your time more wisely this year? How well have you managed your time? Do you know time is very important spiritually? Do you know the time we are in? Have you been wasting time on useless and unnecessary things? Can you compute the time wasted on entertainment and sports? Can you calculate the hours wasted on social media? Can you calculate the time used on studying your bible and books? How much time did you spend in prayer and worship? How much time did you spend on doing something for God? Would you call yourself a time wasting Christian? If yes, what do you intend to do about it? Do you know you shall give account of how you spent your time? Do you know this verse is more relevant than it has ever been to previous generations?

May we not joke with the times we live in, because these are no ordinary times spiritually. It is time to awake out of our laziness and procrastination. Have a blessed Wednesday.
