“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He will make straight your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6

Following God means surrendering control. We often want to understand everything, but God calls us to trust, not figure it all out. When we fully rely on Him—heart, mind, and decisions—He promises to guide us in the right direction.

Even when life feels uncertain, God sees the bigger picture. Our role is obedience; His role is direction.

Jesus invites us to come to the Father with persistence.

“Ask… seek… knock.” Not because God is reluctant to listen, but because He welcomes His children to depend on Him. Prayer is not a formula for getting everything we want. It is an invitation to trust the goodness and wisdom of the One who hears.

In the verses that follow, Jesus reminds us that earthly fathers know how to give good gifts to their children. How much more will our heavenly Father give what is good to those who ask Him.

Sometimes the answer is yes.
Sometimes it is no.
Sometimes it is wait.

But the promise remains: when we come to God, we are never ignored. The Father hears, and He responds according to His perfect will.

“For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”
— Matthew 7:8

Serve the Lord with gladness as we begin our new series, “Your Attitude Matters,” inspired by Psalms 100:2. This series reminds us that how we serve God is just as important as what we do for Him—our hearts, mindset, and joy matter. Join us every Thursday at 7:00 PM as we grow together in faith, align our attitudes with God’s Word, and learn to serve Him with joy and gladness. Come expectant, come ready, and come with a heart to worship.

What if the answer to your purpose has been closer than you think? We often try to find it in success, relationships, or achievements, yet these can never satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts. The Bible points to a purpose for each of us and to the One who made us, but we only truly discover it when we encounter Him and allow Him to transform our lives. Don’t wait—let Jesus guide you toward your true purpose today!

Christianity isn’t all about following a set of rules - it’s about knowing Jesus as our Lord and Savior. When we realize the weight and the beauty of who He truly is, our lives can’t remain the same.

Mark 11:22-24 says that Jesus doesn’t only want us to speak of belief; He invites us to come to Him in faith. In all we do, may we trust Him fully and walk in the new life only He can give. As you choose to follow Jesus, how have your priorities begun to change?

Over the years, we’ve learned so much through the experiences we’ve gone through, and along the way, we’ve also built expectations and timelines we feel pressured to meet. But Scripture reminds us not to be anxious, but instead, to trust God for He is the One who holds everything together and makes things happen in His perfect time. Save this and share it with a friend who might need this reminder.
