you away!! Nu Skool Sings Old School is a series of Live Showcases with talented kids paying tribute to the music of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Our kids perform their favorite R&B, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Blues. Old Gospel, Broadway Hit Tunes and Classic Rock songs. Nu Skool Sings Old School is where you can see these young artists exhibit their talents, showcase their vocal artistry, while taking another step closer to pursuing their dreams. Our focus is to create a new generation of legendary entertainers that sing and perform music that is uplifting, joyful, celebratory, positive and soulful. Nu Skool Sings Old School is a Charity Event Series to benefit disadvantaged young women and children around the world!

Everyone that knows me know that I love children. My heart breaks thinking about what some of them may be going through right now. Many of them are too young to even process all of this madness, chaos and confusion. Others are scared and perhaps even angry because they see the effect the current situation is having on their parents, grandparent, other family members and friends. Many of the homeless children have been shuffled around from shelters to hotels, to friend's houses and God knows where else. I got so depressed about this a couple of weeks ago. And when the protesting started, I knew I had to do something for them. Kids shouldn't have to be sad like this. I wanted to put a smile on their precious little faces. So I decided to put together some Fun Bags for them. I gathered some coloring books and crayons, small toys and little fun items that had been holding onto for our summer projects that will not happen now and I decided to put them all in a Tote Bag for them. I am looking to include some masks for a child in them if I can get enough of them by Wednesday. I see a lot of kids with ill-fitted masks or no mask at all. I want to put small hand sanitizers, some healthy snacks, books and other educational games. If you can think of other fun things to give to a child ages 5 to 12, let me know. Some of My Nu Skool Sings Old School Kids and I are going to host a "Just Because Day" on Wednesday, June 3rd at 3 p.m. It will be a "Grab & Go". Parents can drive up and your kids can grab a Fun Bag or we will have a table outside Hot & Cool Cafe in Leimert Park and you are welcome to have your child walk up and grab a Fun Bag. First come first serve and your child must be present to receive a Fun Bag. I could use a couple of volunteers from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mad Love to those of you who have showed your love and support for our "Just Because Day". We truly appreciate you. I wish I had $1 Million Dollars, I could do so much more. But for now, I will just do my part. THIS JUST IN!!!!!! I am so proud and thrilled to announce that Nu Skool Sings Old School Star Performer & Alumni Celeste Butler is now a part of the Legendary All Female Band KLYMAXX!!!!!! Mad Love & Big Hugs to Legendary Guitarist Cheryl Cooley for giving my kid a place on the main stages of the world and the opportunity to shine!!! KLYMAXX is best known for their 80s Hit Song "The Men All Pause" & "Meeting in the Ladies Room". Thank you for everyone who supports our Nu Skool Sings Old School Artists!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! My Nu Skool Sings Old School Kid Shane Selloria just got the call we've been waiting for. Shane made to Broadway!!! He will be starring in "The Lion King" as Young Simba!!! This kid is too amazing and he works so hard. I'm so proud of him. Congratulations Shane!! Great Job Mom Evelyn and Dad Adunes!!!!
