Join us on Saturday, September 12th at 10:15am at Cabrillo Beach to support our City Partners at LHTP! They are hosting their annual beach clean-up for their youth students and are looking for volunteers to serve alongside the students for this event. Volunteers from our church are invited to help BBQ, serve lunch, and chaperone the students during the clean-up to make sure they have a safe and fun time. We are overjoyed to share that 198 folks from Citizens signed up to sponsor a child in Nam Trà My, Vietnam through our partnership with World Vision’s Chosen! Thank you to every person and family who joined in the work God is doing in Vietnam.

Join us this Sunday to find out which child chose you! After service, head to the Reveal Wall under the awning by the cafeteria, where you can find and open your envelope and meet the child who chose you.

If you signed up after the 6pm cutoff on Sunday, August 16th, your photo was not included this weekend, but your child is still having a Choosing Party for you. You will find out who they are through a separate email.

Join us this Sunday as we welcome Pastor Harold Kim to guest preach for us at our 9:30am and 11:30am services at Grand Arts High School!

Harold Kim serves as the English and International Ministries Director at Onnuri Church in Seoul, South Korea since April 2025. He is the former founding pastor of Christ Central of Southern California (2007-2024) and President of SOLA Network (2014-2024). Harold graduated from U.C. Berkeley (B.A.), received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Princeton Theological Seminary. Harold is married to SunHi and empty nesting father of two daughters, Taylor and Elizabeth. We are so excited to have him bring us God’s Word this Sunday - we hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone who showed up last Sunday and signed up to sponsor a child in the Nam Tra My community in Vietnam through our partnership with World Vision’s Chosen.

It is not too late to be a part of this. A second round of signups is open now through Sunday, August 30th at 6pm. Click the link in our bio to register, and you can either upload a photo on your own or have your photo taken at the photobooth we will have set up between services on Sunday, August 30th.

Your monthly gift of $39 helps provide a child and their family with sustainable access to life’s basic necessities, and a tangible reminder that they are deeply loved ❤️.

We are gearing up to launch our 2026-2027 Community Groups! We sincerely believe that we can be transformed to be more like Jesus in the ordinary rhythms of eating, praying, sharing, and learning in intimate and intentional communities. We want to welcome anyone, regardless of where you might be in your personal journey of faith, to join a Community Group and experience the welcome and love of God. Community Groups enrollment will take place from August 10-August 12 and all groups will officially launch early September. Sign ups will be available via the weekly round up or by visiting our website at the link below during the CG enrollment period.

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with World Vision USA - and a really special opportunity for our church to participate in what God’s already doing in the world.

On Sunday, August 16th, our congregation will have the chance to sign up to sponsor a child from Vietnam. The following week, our lead pastor Jason will travel to Nam Tra My, Vietnam to meet the local staff and hand-deliver the photos and names of everyone who signed up.
A child in need will look through photos of people waiting to sponsor them - and they get to choose you. Every person who signs up will be chosen. The power is in the child’s hands.

Your monthly gift of $39, combined with other sponsors’ gifts, will help provide children and families with sustainable access to life’s basics, and a tangible reminder that they are loved.
