(Acts 2:42; II Thessalonians 2:15; II Peter 3:1-2).

Essential doctrine:

One baptism (Ephesians 4:5; Acts 2:38)
One body (church) (Ephesians 4:4; Acts 20:28)
- Universal (Matthew 16:18)
- Made up of individuals around the world (Matthew 16:18)
- Those individuals belong to a local congregation (I Corinthians 1:2; Gal. 1:2)
- Local oversight (Philippians 1:1; I Peter 5:2-4)

Christ is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22-23)

The Bible is our only source of authority
