Welcome to this week’s Bible Bowl Word of the Week!

Our scripture is Isaiah 46:11 KJV:

“Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.”

This week’s Word reminds us that God does not only speak—He performs. What He has purposed, He has the power to accomplish. His plans are not dependent upon circumstances, distance, or what we can see. When God declares a thing, He is fully able to bring His counsel to pass.

As we continue in Bible Bowl 2026, we’re growing in the Word, strengthening our biblical knowledge, and keeping Scripture at the center.

“The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.”

This week’s Word reminds us of the certainty of God’s purpose. What God has determined cannot be overturned. What He has spoken will come to pass, and what He has purposed shall stand.
