This morning as I walked down my driveway and looked at the daffodils that are blooming, I immediately became excited because I know spring is coming soon! My mind then began to think about a song my daughter sent to me and a friend this morning , “Come Jesus Come”. I’ve listened to this song many times and thought, just like being excited for spring, I’m getting more and more excited for the coming of Jesus. But I have to remembered just because I see the daffodis blooming, spring isn’t here yet. I can’t be tricked into believing that. So while I wait I have to prepare. I must sow the seeds for the vegetable garden and the flower garden. I must throw some seeds on our grass to help it grow thicker. But, also just like spring, I know Jesus is coming. Until then I wait. Matthew 24 tells us what signs to look for. Matthew 25 tells about the ten virgins and how the foolish ones didn’t prepare. They didn’t keep their lamps filled with oil. Then Jesus goes on in Matthew 25 to tell about the parables of the Talents and again how the foolish ones didn’t use their talents to sow the seeds of salvation. Don’t get tricked. Don’t believe lies. Don’t follow the wrong signs. Know what the Bible says.
1 Timothy 4:1 tells us “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,”. I pray today we all prepare for the coming of Jesus because just like spring, He is definitely coming and I want to be ready and I want all my family and friends to be ready. 🙏🌼
