Kingdom Toastmasters is chartered Toastmasters International club in District 43 where Christians gather to speak boldly about their faith while improving their public speaking skills. The club was chartered November 2021 and meets in-person every Saturday (except holidays) from 9-10am at the First Lutheran Church Luther Education Hall (314 E 8th St). Kingdom Toastmaster members are fellow Christi
ans that witness to each other each week by sharing their faith while sharpening their speaking skills. The mission of Toastmasters is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience where members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Kingdom Toastmasters was inspired by scripture and strives to improve the spiritual lives of our members and guests by sharing God's Word. The Great Commission calls each of us to make disciples and when Moses was called to lead God's people in the Exodus he feared the calling:
Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”
The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
Ex 4:10–12 (NIV)
