Another year of fun and adventure at College View Seventh-day Adventist Church's 2026 Vacation Bible School (VBS).

This year, we transformed into Cactusville, a one-of-a-kind desert town where kids discover they are CALLED by God to follow Jesus right where they are.

Best of all? This incredible week is completely FREE for kids from Pre-K through 5th grade!

From water games and outdoor play to crafts and a cozy parents' lounge, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Monday-Friday, June 8–12:

4:30 PM: Dinner available for purchase (supporting our Pathfinders)
5:15 PM: VBS Activities begin
7:45 PM: Pickup time in the sanctuary

Saturday, June 13 | Celebration: Join us for our 11:00 AM Church Celebration and a 5:30 PM closing BBQ at Woodland Acres.

Through our daily themes — CALLED to be different, faithful, forgive, serve, and give — your children will discover God's unique purpose and grace for their lives (2 Timothy 1:9). (Fun fact: These daily themes match up perfectly with our ThreeSixteen Summer Camp.)

Ready for the best summer ever? ☀️ Canyon Quest is officially calling.

We are back at College View Seventh-day Adventist Church for our second amazing summer of ThreeSixteen Kids Camp. This year, we’re heading deep into a world of mystery and discovery with our Canyon Quest theme. It’s more than just a camp; it’s a space where kids explore their unique talents, build lasting friendships, and discover their divine calling.

Every week is a brand-new trail to explore:

🦒 Week 1: Lincoln Children's Zoo – Discovering what makes us wonderfully unique.
🌳 Week 2: Arbor Day Farm – Learning the power of faithfulness and sticking with the path.
🌺 Week 3: Lauritzen Gardens – Finding the "treasure" of forgiveness.
🦙 Week 4: Alpacas of the Heartland LLC – Exploring kindness and the joy of giving.
🐢 Week 5: Pioneers Park (City of Lincoln Government) – Discovering the strength found in serving our community.
🎨 Week 6: Joslyn Art Museum – Unleashing imagination at the Creative Outpost.
🎳 Week 7: Sun Valley Lanes & Games – Celebrating the joy of belonging and teamwork.
🚀 Week 8: Kiewit Luminarium – Reaching the "Celebration Summit" finale!

The Details:

- Who: Kids in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

- When: June 1 – July 24, 2026 | 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Extended hours available!).

- Flexibility: Sign up for one week, a few, or all eight to fit your schedule.

So fun to see our local firefighters from Lincoln Fire & Rescue (LFR) step off the truck to high-five our kids. At the Kid Strong Health Fair, these moments of connection were the highlight for so many families.

As our Kids Ministries Pastor, Nicole Broushet, shared: “No strings attached . . . we just want to connect you with the resources that support you.” By bringing our neighborhood heroes and families together, we’re living out our vision of growing together and living out God’s love.

Here's what this event did:

Built Trust: Positive interactions with first responders help kids feel safe and grounded in their community.

A "Whole" Foundation: Gena Foster from Wholehearted Healthcare reminded us that "neurons that fire together, wire together." Creating joyful memories around safety helps build a foundation of resilience for life.

Support Systems: In a world that can often feel isolating, these connections prove that we are stronger together.

A massive thank you to the Lincoln firefighters for their time, patience, and for letting us tour the truck! 🚒✨

We are proud to be joyful followers of Jesus working to change our community with love.

Congratulations to our CVC Club Ministries on a wonderful year! Tonight we celebrated our Pathfinder and Adventurer Clubs as we reflected on all they have learned and accomplished throughout the year.

From drilling and marching to water safety, from studying the book of Isaiah to exploring the women of the Bible, these young people have been immersed in scripture, leadership, life skills, and Christ-centered friendships.

We are so proud of their growth, dedication, and enthusiasm. Thank you to all of our directors, staff, volunteers, and parents who made this year such a blessing. Most of all, we thank God for guiding and growing each child along the way.

What a joy it has been to watch these young hearts learn to serve, lead, and follow Jesus! 🧡💛 ♥️💙

We believe every child deserves a space where they can meet Jesus in a way that feels safe, welcoming, and just right for them.

At College View Seventh-day Adventist Church, our Sensory Sabbath School is specially designed for kids who benefit from a more flexible, calm, and supportive environment.

Whether your child has special needs or is simply visiting and prefers a gentler pace, they’ll find a home here. Through adaptive Bible stories, hands-on activities, and music, we celebrate the unique way every child is made.

Who: Ages 3–13

When: Saturday mornings at 9:45 AM

Where: Lower Level, right behind the Fellowship Hall

Save the date for this summer's Vacation Bible School at College View Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Our theme this year is Cactusville.

Whether your kids are "Li'l Cowpokes" or seasoned "Buckaroos," they’re invited to a week of discovery, fun, and unconditional love.

At College View Church, we believe every child is uniquely called by God. We’ve designed this week to be a blast for the kids and a breath of fresh air for the whole family.🏜️

What to Expect:

Action-Packed Fun: Outdoor play stations, splash pads, and water games to beat the heat. Creative Learning: Bible-based sing-alongs, crafts, and a daily "treasure hunt" for God's purpose.

Family Perks: A cozy parents’ lounge with a firepit and refreshments, plus a Family Fun Day to kick things off.

Community Support: Delicious dinner available for purchase each night, supporting our local Pathfinders.

📅 June 7: Family Fun Day! (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM) Come for pony rides, bouncy houses, and a mechanical bull.

June 8–12: VBS Week (5:15 PM – 7:45 PM).

June 13: The Grand Celebration! Church celebration at 11:00 AM followed by a BBQ and closing vespers at Mid-America Mission, Inc. & Woodland Acres Bible Camp.

Is there anything better than seeing a child’s face light up when they finally "get" a Bible story? ✨

At CVC (College View Seventh-day Adventist Church), our Sabbath School leaders don't just teach; they mentor the next generation of world-changers.

We are currently looking for friendly faces to help out in our classrooms — whether it’s storytelling, leading a craft, or just providing breakfast snacks. Even helping once a month makes a huge difference!
