Jesus used the word, “Father,” as his favorite term for God. The Aramaic term for father is “Abba,” which is sometimes translated in English as “Daddy.” Abba is a term of intimacy, of endearment, of closeness. Even if your earthly father was absent, selfish, aloof, mean-spirited or overbearing, always remember that we have a Heavenly father who is good and who loves us … a Heavenly daddy who cares for us.
